Surcheros - Jesup, GA — Restaurant in Jesup

Tonight we were first timers at "Surcheros Fresh Grill". We came as a group of 6 and sat at a high table with stools. We were the most senior of people there. Most of the servers were quite young, perhaps 20yrs or less and those who had come there to eat were less than 40 yrs of age. There were a good number of patrons eating already as we arrv'd at 6pm. In the next 2 hrs the flow of patrons that passed down the serving line was amazing. There were individuals and families, and these younger folks seemed to be totally aware of the distinctions between tacos, barittos, and quasadisas. It was obvious they enjoyed Mexican quisine. We were delighted with the brightly lighted surroundings, the cleanliness, the energetic and efficient staff, the clean cut appearance and attentive and patient serving attitude. Obviously the training program had been quite thorough as we learned that all were crossed trained to handle all aspects of food service and cashier responsibilities. Except for the continuous chatter of folks dining and talking it was a friendly, refreshing and pleasant time with friends with very tasty foods. In such a short time Surcheros has made a mark in Jesup, GA and will fair well in this area of quisine. So this is what I got the last time I ordered from here.. I know people don't normally complain about to much meat and not enough toppings, but I literally didn't get any rice with one meal and way to much meat with the other. I don't normally complain when it comes to stuff like this but we order the same thing every time. So I called to let them know I wasn't happy with my order and really wanted it like they normally make it. The manager suggested I bring my food back so she could see if they made it wrong. I literally ordered online so I could pick it up and go home after a long day at work. I spent a good $60+, as I do every time I come in. At the very least, I expected the manager to say I could come back up and she would give us some rice and toppings for our piles of meat. But instead, she made me feel like I was wrong for wanting it right. I don't think I will spend my money here anymore. Always remember to check your order...

The food is ok.....when it’s right, but nothing to write home about. I’ve had 2 bad experiences, tried to order online 1 time & they screwed that up. I didn’t find out until I had driven all the way back home. I let it go thinking that everyone can make mistakes. Went thru the drive through again tonight & ordered chicken nachos. Specifically said “I want the cheese ON the nachos & not just on the side”. The guy even repeated it back to me.
