Hog-N-Bones Jesup — Restaurant in Jesup

My experience at Hog N Bones of Jesup Ga in summary was good. Being that it was my first time eating there.The atmosphere of the restaurant was good it was also very clean[mind you the time I went was three in the evening],so it wasn't busy or packed. I think there choice in atmospheric music could vary more (country)was all that was playing but still not a dealbreaker. As for the food it was appetizing. I ordered the sample platter it was worth the 10 dollars. The platter came with three of their meat choices one peace of chicken(light or dark)an anpule amount of pulled-pork,and 2 ribs. As well two sides of your choice and a peace of buttered toasted Texas toast. Beverages not included ,but resonbly priced.The choice of beverages were tea's of assorted flavors and Pepsi related products. all in all it was about 14 dollars plus tax. I will add a surprising Factor of how fast my food came to me. Before I was even done making my drink and I have set down at my table my food was served to me. Definitely a plus.The Associates of Hog N Bones was very helpful ,courteous ,attentive, and just downright delightful. One of the few Con's I had though was the plastic cutlery. So if you're not a fan of plastic cutlery would advise bringing your own. All in all though good experience ,and we'll be coming back to try out their breakfast as that now I know they serve from 6 to 10. Also like the fact that they have a drive-thru and ample parking and Easy in and out. I think they also have an online ordering system don't quote me on that but if they do that's also a plus. I would suggest too many people to come try out hog and bones it's definitely a family-friendly environment. Good food reasonably priced. Not sure if the restaurant had Wi-Fi I didn't check ,but it would be something I would definitely look into doing as a restaurant owner hint hint. I come thru the drive thru around 3 times a week on my lunch break. The customer service is always great and the food is also great. However, this was absolutely not the case just a few minutes ago. I ordered a kids pulled pork sandwich combo. My side was fries and a large tea to drink. When I pulled around to the window, I was given the wrong drink. I asked her could she please exchange it. I apologized and she said nothing. She rolled her eyes and acted as if I had inconvenienced her. Then when my food was given to me, I didn't have my fries in the bag. Once again, I apologize and ask for my fries. She once again says nothing and is very irritated at this point. She brings the bag back and hands it to me and said the fries were in the bag and once again, I apologized for not seeing them and once again, she says nothing and rolls her eyes. I said thank you and have a good day. She shut the window. She said nothing back to me. Then I get back to work and my sauce wasn't in the bag. I ate it plain. No big deal about that, but very big deal on how I was treated. I should've not apologized for anything. She should've been apologizing because she inconvenienced me on my 30 minute lunch break. I recently moved to Georgia this was my first time at Hog N Bones. I wasn’t sure what to order so I ordered a combination platter of ribs, pulled pork, and barbecued chicken called the HNB Sampler.

The meat on the ribs were so tender, it fell off the bone and they were delicious, as was the chicken and pulled pork. I chose the sweet bbq sauce, and it was yummy, too! You’re allowed to choose 2 sauces included in the price of the meal, so I also ordered the original sauce, too, but I didn’t try it yet.

The potato salad was delicious and tasted homemade, just like my mama used to make! Thank goodness I found a place that makes such wonderful potato salad! The sweet potato soufflé was also delicious and very sweet, just like I like it!

There was so much food that I had half of it to take home, so I’ll try the original sauce tonight or tomorrow and I’ll report back!

I’m looking forward to bringing my family here for breakfast, lunch and dinner! So glad we have a place like this Jesup! They even have biscuits and gravy! I think I’ll come back tomorrow and try them, and then start my diet on Monday!
