Food was decent. I do agree that the price was good for the amount of food I got. Kind of confused because I thought the lemon pepper sauce was a wet sauce, but what I got was either a dry sauce and they put very little or they put only a drop of the wet. Considering the place is called Lemon pepper, it’s disappointing that my wings were barely lemon pepper. I thought it was gonna be something amazing . My expectations were failed… I would like to come back and get catfish to try but I don’t think I will be getting wings again, and if I do I will get sauce on the side so I can actually taste it and have a decent amount. Fries were just basic frozen no seasoned fries so I’ll pass on those from now on. I don’t know if they deep fry the corn or soak it in oil but the corn didn’t even taste like corn. No flavor, soaked in flavorless oil and no season at all . They gave me a cheesecake that was all smooshed and fallen apart. Service was definitely not the best I told him it was my first time ordering . He seemed aggravated with my questions and aggravated that I didn’t know how to properly order. The way he was speaking to me was as if he thought I was stupid and I should know how that restaurant works even after I stated that was my first time. No help at all, asked for the 12 count bone in wings and he acted like he had no idea what I was taking about and said “I don’t see that nowhere where do you see that at” so another guy came on the mic and did it for him and corrected him. I don’t know if he was high out of his mind because he definitely looked like it but he only gave me 1 thing out of my whole order and told me to have a nice day and closed the window so I sat there until he came back and I told him he was missing over half my order so once again another guy came over and asked for the bag back and I had to wait 15+ more minutes to get my...
Read moreWe had a very good first visit! We went in not knowing exactly what we wanted beforehand because we didn't know the vast scope of their menu. We were pleasantly surprised by the plethora of options and the reasonable prices. Everything is served as takeout (packaged in Styrofoam to go plates), even if you are ordering "in", but that was quite fine with us.
We both ordered from the lunch specials. I had the shrimp and crab cakes. My wife ordered the chicken liver plate. They were steady and the dining room was about 25% full. We waited probably 7 to 10 minutes for the food to be ready. We were not disappointed despite waiting.
My crab cakes were larger and thicker than I expected, and had the right amount of crunch on the outside and tenderness on the inside. The shrimp were fairly large and cooked properly. Personally I was not a huge fan of the seasoning as it tasted more like lemon salt instead of lemon pepper (I don't normally use ANY extra salt on my food for health reasons). My dislike of the seasoning did not dissuade my enjoyment.
My wife's chicken liver plate was filled to almost bursting the clamshell open. The livers themself were cooked to perfection and so tender, absolutely delicious. Probably some of the best I had sampled in years.
We both had way too many french fries, but they were fresh, hot, and delicious.
We both had the lemonade which was good.
Overall a very good visit and we expect to go back when we...
