Goodwill — Local services in Jesup

The prices are higher than any other Goodwill around, they have prices that are no longer set for instance a pair of jeans no matter the shape or brand they used to be 4.99 estimate, but now it all depends on who is tagging the items and what they set the price to. There was also an article in our local paper about how much they throw away with pictures not very long ago, and it was extremely nice items but they just trashed them instead of resonating it somewhere else, or putting it in a big clearence bin for a nickel. I mean it's donated items, with the exceptions that they do have to buy some of their merchandise from the Goodwill warehouse due to the individual owners, instead of it being one owner anyone can open a Goodwill and this one does nothing for our community at all. I’ve been shopping at Goodwill for years, but lately I’ve noticed the prices are getting a bit out of hand—especially considering that most of the items are donated and used. While I understand that operating costs and inflation may play a role, it’s becoming harder to justify paying near-retail prices for secondhand goods.

Thrift stores like Goodwill are supposed to offer affordable options, especially for those on a budget. But recently, I’ve seen used clothing and household items priced almost as high as brand-new ones. It takes away from the mission of making things accessible and affordable for the community.

I usually have always had a good experience here. NOT 2day... the cashier was complaining and talking and making me wait for her to finish. Then I had asked a question about my discount and credit. She looked at me like I was the biggest pain in her behind. When I still didn’t understand, another cashier who was helping her, offered for me to see the transaction on their computer which I did. The eye rolling and rudeness was outrageous. When I was leaving I said I didn’t like how I was treated and they were telling me that they didn’t do that and were wanting to argue w/me. I asked for a manager, and it so happened they said they were all managers!!! Ridiculous,.. I won’t be coming here...
