Well, without the slightest of doubts Aachi’s served one of THE MOST delicious Indian food we have had across Atlanta!! It was a Saturday afternoon. My wife and I had to meet someone at exit 13 on the GA400, was about 1:30 PM (EST) by the time we finished. Hunger had started to kick in by then and she began searching for a nice Indian restaurant nearby.

So for those living in the exits 10-15 belt of the GA400 Aachis will pose a very convenient location for you. Just drive down, sit back and enjoy the food.

Pros: Spice levels were spot-on, perfectly to the taste of Indian buds. Those of you looking for a spark in taste do head on toward this place.

The portion is a bit too much, but no worries you can self-pack the leftovers and carry home

Variety of items is quite good. Even in the biryani thali the number of dishes were good. It had a little of desert as well.

The biryani thali is comfortably adequate for 2 adults, and it come just at $13

Staff are good and accommodating toward changes in orders (of course within a resonable time frame)

Cons:

Location I would say, particularly for those staying far from the greater Atlanta area

Keep up the good work Aachi’s. Hoping to see you...

Was in a mood to try out some Indian food other than my favorite restaurant, here are my dishes and their ratings.

UPDATE: Went in for lunch, my first impressions are its not a clean restaurant, often times you will not find handsoap and towels in the bathroom and its very filthy, they definitely need to work on it. Coming to food as well I would say few of the items are good, but most of them do not look like a quality food, taste wise it is just ok. I also heard they have a Parotta Wednesday night for $16, but it was not that great. I saw some bakery items on the shelf but they do not look fresh. But I would definitely say this is economical restaurant.

Shimla Chicken - 9/10, Chilli Chicken - 8/10, Goat Pepper - 9/10, Tandoori chicken - 9/10 Onion Pakora - 8/10 Tandoori lamb chops - 10/10 Karivepaku kodi vepudu - 10/10 Vanjaram Fish fry - 10/10

Egg Kothu Parotta - 7/10, Vijayawada Chicken Biryani - 8/10, Goat Dum Biryani - 8/10, Chicken Biryani - 9/10 Thalappakatti chicken biryani - 10/10 Thalappakatti mutton biryani - 10/10 Parota with chicken curry - 9/10

I would like the Parota with spicy chicken/mutton curry, that would have...

Last week I had my son's graduation celebration and we paid for 78 adults ( yes we had 75 people, 2 left after appetizer, and one didn't eat as she is unwell and I also didn't eat). Dinner was horrible, gobhi was missing from alu gobhi, and when I asked that lady she said it all got mushed up, chicken biryani had 17 pieces of chicken, and they didn't refill, just rice was left, I ordered one half trey goal ( he told me that it will feed 60 people, we had 12 vegetarians and most kids don't eat goat. It was less than a quarter trey but yes trey was full of gravy which no one ate. I am still hiding and not talking to anyone because of that food disaster. Staff Shawn was very bullying and mean and tells me people drink so they eat more, yes 78 people we paid should have enough food. I still have a picture of Naan, it was so flat and tough to chew. They didn't refill pakora chutney, need to call them again and again to bring appetizers. After a while, we got so tired that didn't bother to ask. Just said sorry to the guests and I haven't spoken to anyone after that. My guests were thinking that I paid for 50 people and therefore the...

Visited the place for buffet. Fish roast, ambur mutton biryani were both good. Pani pooris were over burned and dosa was also over burned. Shahi tukda the bread was too crunchy. Punugulu and podi idly were good. Over all the taste of the food was good. The place is too crowded and people do not maintain any etiquette. You have to share a table with other if you have a smaller group. They provide disposable plates and bowls and plastic cutlery. Eating with the plastic spoons is very difficult , so most of the people were using their hands and the they were serving the food / holding the spoons to serve food for them selves with the same hand after wiping with tissues. It was disgusting and unhygienic. Vegetarians should stay away from buffet at this place. Owners should invest on proper cutlery and plates. Service was fast. They refilled the food items constantly. ZERO for hygiene and atmosphere

Aachi is a cozy little gem tucked in a quiet corner, serving up some of the most comforting Tamil-style South Indian food I’ve had outside a home kitchen. No frills, no fancy lights — just straight-up flavor. The Masala Dosa and Mysore Masala Dosa are my go-to orders: crispy, fresh, and totally satisfying every time. Their Dum Biryani also packs a punch — bold, spiced just right, and deeply flavorful. Bonus points for their catering — we’ve used them for events, and the food always lands. The Lamb/ Mutton Chukka was a total crowd-pleaser. People are still asking me about it months later. If you’re in the mood for authentic South Indian with serious madras vibes, this is the spot. Would be a 5-star experience if the ambiance matched the food, but honestly? I’ll take flavor over fancy any day.
