We went to this place for my daughter's birthday this past weekend having made reservations almost 2 days in advance and also having confirmed the day off that we will be arriving with family and children and requesting for a good place to sit knowing that they could get busy on a Saturday evening. We get there and we are greeted by a kind young girl who proceeds to take us inside just to stopped by this older gentleman with spectacles who stops her and says something to her and grabs the menu from her and offers us the table right next to the waiter's stand right below a blaring music speaker,so I very kindly request the gentleman to seat us at another table as we have little kids and grandparents with us and that the music and sitting right next to the waiter's stand would make it a uncomfortable dining experience for us, and that's when this man lost his cool..and started shouting at the top of his voice justifying how he could not give us another table as they have a huge party inside and he would not just let me talk.Let alone talking politely to customers, the man did not know how to talk respectfully to a woman,a mother and a daughter as my husband, parents and my kids were right next to me watching this man not shut his mouth and go on and on as to why he could not offer us another table and he also said that we are welcome to leave the place if we did not like the table they offered and at that moment my husband said to me that this man has no sense of manners of how to even talk to a woman and we left the place immediately. We will never ever be visiting this place again and i will be sure to tell anyone i meet and any other Persian restaurant i go to as to how terrible our experience was trying to find a table at this restaurant despite making reservations days ahead of time.I hope they teach this man his manners ! Learn how to talk politely to your customers and if anything know how to respectfully talk...
Read moreNoosh Kitchen has long been one of my favorite Persian restaurants — I’ve hosted multiple catered events and at least two dine-in occasions per year. We’ve consistently preferred Noosh over other spots like Rumi’s because of the quality of food and its cozy, welcoming atmosphere.
That said, I feel obligated to share a recent experience that fell short of expectations. On Thursday, May 8 at 5 PM, I invited my family for my wife’s graduation dinner — a meaningful celebration, with some family members traveling from out of state to join us.
Unfortunately, the service didn’t match what we’ve experienced in the past. While I prepared to leave a 18% tip, I noticed a 22% gratuity which was automatically added. I understand this is standard for larger parties (we were 9 adults), but the level of service didn’t align. Unlike Rumi’s or Delbar, where servers are consistently attentive and well-supported by other staff, our entire meal at Noosh was managed by just one server. Food came out slowly, and no one checked in or offered refills (except once for bread) — even though we were the only guests at that time.
In terms of food, the kitchen breast kabob was undercooked inside. We also requested no sauce or dressing on a half salad, but it came overly salty and sour, possibly from added vinegar.
It’s difficult for me to leave this review, especially given the respect I have for the owner and management, and my history of positive experiences here. I understand times are tough with rising costs and inflation, but I hope this feedback encourages a return to the higher quality and service that once set Noosh apart. Maybe we weren’t lucky this time. I’d love to see this restaurant continue to thrive and compete strongly with other great Persian restaurants...
Read moreNoosh gets as close to authentic Persian as it can get. The flavors are exotic yet familiar, as each table is greeted with warm sesame crusted flat bread and salad to start the meal. The different components of the salad (persian cukes, walnut, sliced tomatoes, olives, and feta) are used to create your own crudite to stuff inside the flatbread, and provides a refreshing starter to the meal. We started off with the sampler plate with two types of the yogurt dip (borani maast - the shallot and cucumber is a must), crispy rice with lamb stew (tahdig), and the fluffy herbed frittata (kookoo sabzi). For our entrees, we shared the chicken kabob, the barg (filet) kabob, and lamb shank (mahicheh). For context, I don't usually order chicken at a resto because its usually bland and dry, but the chicken kabob at Noosh is a MUST. It's so tender and flavorful and pairs so well with the roasted tomatoes in basmati rice. The barg and lamb shank were excellent as well, but can't compete with the chicken. For dessert, we sampled the cheesecake baklava and persian ice cream. I loved the cheesecake baklava, which was a wonderful combo of the cheesecake, layers of phyllo, and the bite was not too syrupy smooth that you find from typical baklavas. While I was seeking some palate refresher from the ice cream, I was caught off guard by the overwhelming rose water taste that left an unwelcome aftertaste. Overall, Noosh provides a great group dining atmosphere so share an...
