A $5 or $6 pizza has its place in this world for convenience, but that being said, you get what you pay for. Where Riverside Pizza fails is customer service. Their food is exactly what you'd expect for the price: it's ok. But be warned, the kids that work there are absurdly untrained. Especially when it comes to food safety.
They have cheese sauce that comes out of a can, that is somewhat decent. But despite my warnings about the health concerns of the practice, these kids continue to put this cheese sauce into styrofoam containers and microwave it to heat it up, melting the container and releasing toxic chemicals into the sauce you eat as the styrofoam melts.
To add to this fact, you can ask them flat out to give it to you cold, they'll nod in agreement like they understand, then like an unskilled automaton, they'll go heat it up like you said nothing about it out of habit.
Training is the key here, but it appears there is none, along with adult supervision. Orders are frequently delivered incorrect and trying to get someone to care there is laughable. This place would be a goldmine if it had any level of supervision and accountability, but I've been to two of their locations and each is the same. A true reflection of lack of ownership pride in providing quality food and food...
Read moreNeed to downgrade the number of stars. Tried to order pizza at 4:15 on a Friday. The phone does not get picked up… they have opted not to answer I guess. It immediately goes to a message that the number is unable to answer. I called for 10 minutes straight, hang up redial… couldn’t get an answer. Then for next 10 minutes tried sporadically calling still no answer. I was driving by so pulled in to drive through to see if the had any just cheese or pepperoni pizzas ready… none ready. I asked if phones were broken.. was told no. They didn’t even suggest that they could make some if I wanted to wait. So no pizza for us that night… and this is not first time we were unable to order pizza here recently. So if you need an order you need to drive there, place order, and then wait: probably half hour or so. Used to come here all the time and previously gave them 5 stars.. but lack of being able to place an order really makes me have to downgrade the establishment.
Great price for basic pizza that my kids love. Asked them to spice up.tbeir hot wings as extreme isnt hot enough for my hubby....and boy did they give me exactly what I asked for. Great job..i think i saw smoke coming out...
Read moreWalked in to pick up an online order at the designated pickup time and there were no greeting nor a smile. I was told to wait 5 mins but didn’t get my order until almost 30mins later. I waited around and at the 30min mark, they placed my order at the rack without even informing me that it was done nor hand it to me. I had to ask one of them to check on the order for them to hand it to me. I observed the teens working in the kitchen without gloves and one of whom was constantly rubbing his hair while building the pizzas. It was a disgusting sight as I was concerned about hair and or dandruff in the food. There was constant chatter and cursing in the presence of my child. I love Riverside Pizza but this John’s Creak location churned out a pie that looks unappetizing as there was barely any toppings and the wings I ordered were extremely dry, overcooked, and salty. Needless to say I will not be returning to...
