Auntie Ruth's Doughnuts & Pretzels — Restaurant in Johnson City

Both times going to the new store has been awful. Waited over an hour the first time and then the second time waited 30-45 minutes only to be told they were out of food and it would be an additional 30 minute wait. I messaged them to ask them to please find a way to reduce wait times as both of my experiences there had been poor. What happened next is why myself and my family will not return. They proceeded to argue with me over social media for 2 days, then deleted some of their messages. Fortunately I have screenshots of what they said. They went as far as to insinuate that I was not a patient or kind person for asking them to find a better solution to their wait times. Beyond unprofessional! First, the employees truly care, and it shows. They go above and beyond by baking and prepping right in front of you!

Second, the non-processed foods and high-quality ingredients—like the bacon breakfast pocket (life-changing) and the scone (light, with a perfect lavender/blackberry flavor combo that’s not too sweet)—both made with love.

Third, THE PEOPLE! (I know, I already mentioned it, but I can’t help it.) I can’t fully explain what the gentleman at the register did because I don’t want you to expect too much, but I can’t believe how kind and thoughtful he, along with everyone else, has been.

Went on a Saturday morning at 9:15am, they open at 9 am, late for a donut shop. They didn't have any cinnamon rolls ready and said it would be another 30 minutes. I traveled 35 minutes and couldn't wait. Please have your basics ready on a Saturday morning. Didn't order a pretzel because they dont have any pretzels not dunked in butter with just salt, i asked and was told there would be a wait. The chocolate Bavarian creme is good. The strawberry donut was just ok, the whipped cream had no flavor at all. Not a big selection of filled donuts to choose from. It was very loud. Each donut was 5.00 each. A little on the pricey side. Very limited hours for someone who works. My donuts were not put in a bag to make it easier to carry out. This was my first visit. This was...
