Happy Wok — Restaurant in Johnson City

The service?? What service?? I ordered a small Roast Port w/ Chinese Vegetables which online showed it was $6.75. When i picked up I was charged $11.50 plus tax. When I questioned why it was so much she told me it was a large. She disappeared into the back and came back several minutes later with "the small" size. She didn't know how to cancel the wrong charge amount so she gave me the difference in cash. Also instead of $6.75 I was charged $7.94. Why I don't know! Food was disgusting! Roast Pork w/ Chinese Vegetables had very few pieces of roast port and those were nothing but fat and gristle while the Chinese vegetables consisted mainly of broccoli and little else. The rice was so overcooked it was hard to choke it down. ...

I didn't realize the restaurant was pretty much closed when I stopped for lunch. There is a sign on the front door directing customers into the little plastic enclosure through the next door. The restaurant is piled high with supplies & whatnot & the plastic is dirty making it anything but appealing. If the woman on the other side of the sliding window hadn't started talking to me, I would have left. I ordered 2 spring rolls, paid & waited...& waited...& waited - over 10 minutes. I was surprised at the size of the spring rolls - as large as an egg roll. Unfortunately, they were rather flavorless. Except for the cabbage, I really couldn't discern any flavor. Where do I start. I ordered sesame chicken and he ordered General tso's, took 20 min for our plates. So..The only difference in our plates, mine had sesame seeds and his had very small pieces of imatation red peppers,. Same sauce poured over our chicken, tasted exactly the same. Both were Horrible tasting and the rice... the rice was Bland, it tasted like microwave rice, exact with a side of black hair on his plate. Yuck !! Now, The soup was amazingly tasty ...however my boyfriend found another thick piece of black hair in his soup. That did it for him. So now to the egg roll.. flavorless, and again bland. So..we won't be going back there again. We're on the search for a new Chinese restaurant. Not so Happy...
