I've been coming here for close to three years now. They always have such incredible monthly drink flavors that keep me coming back again and again, and they've worked really hard to make their shop a welcoming environment anyone who comes in.
They are always finding new things to decorate their lounging/chatting/study spaces, and it has such a cozy dark academic vibe. My friends and I always come here to do our homework and hang out.
My friends and I keep coming back because of how friendly the owners are. They know us by name, and always make sure that we like our drinks. I have always felt comfortable asking them to remake something if it wasn't quite right, and they have always done their best to make sure that everything tastes right. Smitty and Felicity have always made me feel accepted while I've been in their shop. I'm always comfortable around them and they always ask about how I've been, how classes are going, and what kinds of things are going on on campus. I really enjoy getting to see them and check in when they're working--we've chatted about a Poe inspired Netflix series before!
I love their Lotus energy drinks--they always make such wonderful flavors that I'm excited to try every month. I also really enjoy their coffee--it always tastes good and they make sure that it's ethically sourced and sustainable. They only buy from suppliers that protect native bird habitats. I never knew that coffee farming could hurt bird habitats, and I'm happy that my favorite coffee shop doesn't support that kind of coffee farming.
I'm a student, so I spend a lot of time here doing homework. Whenever I go home for the holidays, Pike House is one of the things I miss the most about Johnson City. I've never found another coffee shop (either local or chain) that does it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently visited Pike House and it has quickly become my favorite spot in town! The atmosphere is incredibly inviting, with cozy seating, warm lighting, and a beautifully decorated interior that makes you want to stay for hours.
The baristas are some of the friendliest I've encountered. They greet you with a smile, remember your name, and always seem genuinely happy to help. Their passion for coffee is evident in every cup they serve.
Their in-house roasted beans are a game-changer. Specifically the Mountain Shadows blend. Each cup is rich, flavorful, and incredibly fresh. Whether you're a fan of classic brews or specialty drinks, you'll find something to love here.
But that's not all! They also offer a fantastic selection of boba tea, which is perfect for those looking for something a bit different. The boba is always perfectly chewy, and the tea flavors are deliciously refreshing.
What truly sets Pike House apart are their monthly specials. Each month brings new and exciting drinks and treats, ensuring there's always something new to try. It's clear that the team puts a lot of thought and creativity into these specials, making each visit a delightful adventure.
Overall, Pike House is a gem. With its welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, top-notch coffee, and unique offerings, it's a must-visit for any coffee lover or boba tea enthusiast....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEvery experience I've had at Pike House has been great. They have the BEST boba in town. Until today... So my husband and I, go in for a drink. I get what I get Everytime, Taro Milk Tea, tapioca, extra brown sugar. This time I asked for ice to be shaken with drink, but not in my cup. Husband orders a fruit tea with blueberry pearls. (No dairy, milk, or whatever) Just a lavender fruit tea, with blueberry pearls. My husband eve exclaimed to the guy that he didn't like the dairy flavors he only liked the fruit. Guy makes our drinks. Taro is purple, he loaded my drink down with so much brown sugar, my drink was no longer purple. It looked and had the same consistency as chocolate milk. Not to mention the the brown sugar WITH the boba was half way up a LARGE size cup. My husband's drink definitely had dairy in it. The guy serving us, younger bald guy with a beard, hands us our drinks, and says "if you find ice in that, you can get me fired". Not sure if he was homophobic or not, but the customer in front of us was treated with kindness, while we got the 3rd degree. Almost seems as if it were discriminatory. I've never had this guy serve us before, but if he is here when we come from now on, we will divert to...
