Hy-Vee Chinese — Restaurant in Johnston

They were so rude to me here. They watched me walk up to the counter, turned around, then waited a good minute to take my order. I asked the woman working if I’d be able to get rice as a side with lo mein as an entre- tell me why she turned around and said “I don’t know what she’s asking” to her coworkers in the snottiest voice I’ve ever heard. Also asked me “is this it, are you done” after everything I ordered (I had told them in advance I was going to get 3 meals). The only time they were nice was when I checked out- but overall they made me feel like such an inconvenience when they were open and I was a paying customer (keep in mind I went a solid hour and a half before close)??? As for the food itself, it’s always just ok. After my 7 minute drive home it was cool but my fault for expecting more from grocery store...

So disappointing. I went at prime dinner time (5:30) and got dried lo mein noodles, egg roll, and dried half edible pork? special which I thought was chicken. All of which was super subpar compared to what it used to be. Not wasting my money...

OMG got Mongolian Beef so burnt it looked like burnt ends. Absolutely disgusting at 6:30 pm. WOW tried to say it was FRESH. BURNT...
