Looking to satisfy your craving for Mexican food? Look no further! Bring the family they have plenty of off street parking behind the building and a large open dining area. To start we presented with are large sized basket of chip a ramekin of salsa and a dish of Escabeche. This had a good flavor without too much of a bite, the salsa was on the spicier side with a robust flavor, Both excellent. We ordered horchata for our drinks. Not all horchata is created equal and this horchata rides of the line of excellence, wonderfully combination of sweet and cinnamon. I ordered the carnitas torta and she ordered the steak burrito. The first smell to hit me when the food was brought was the smell of the bread from the torta. A wonderful aroma of fresh baked bread and the pork was so wonderfully tender, and the steak had a nice grilled taste. And the tomatillo salsa is the best I've had, great flavor with a mild spice. A slightly lengthy post, I came for Cinco de Mayo and there was a 2.00 taco special so I ordered 6 with two 6.00 margaritas and 6 to go, when I got the bill I noticed it extremely high so I double checked what I ordered and the lady got mad that she charged me for way more tacos then I ordered and I was told that the food they made to take home because they were throwing it away regardless so after a couple of minutes she changed her mind and went in my bag to open the tacos with her BARE HANDS so I said I did not want the to go order anymore seeing as that she touched them and she got even madder now I'm looking at the receipt and I was still overcharged which I will be disputing with my bank. The chorizo was good but the chicken was bland and the steak was chewy, my strawberry margarita tasted like straight syrup and I had to ask for an additional shot of tequila. BEWARE, gratuity of 15% is automatically added on groups of 4 or more. Been here many times. I finally noticed this when I was wondering why the check was over $80 on our check when 2 people had soup and no drinks were ordered. No where on menu and no where near register is this displayed. I usually tip 20% and apparently I have been tipping on top of 15% gratuity already added total. When I inquired, I was just told to walk to the manager. I just told the server I will not be back(I have been a regular there for several months). Manager called across the restaurant to someone in the group that was my guest.
