I have been craving a good buffet with a fresh, Hibachi style grill for months.
I finally had the opportunity as I drove home last night. Even went a bit out of the way on my 1.5 hour drive.
This location did not disappoint.
From entering to being seated, the staff was quick and courteous. Very nice.
Washed up in the bathroom before hitting the buffet. Very clean.
Looked at the selection of dishes and was baffled. So many options, only one stomach.
As I was there for dinner, the Salmon caught my eye first. Did not try it for it looked like it might have been passed up by other patrons for awhile because of a little piece of white skin was clinging on to it's pink flesh. I would not mind a bit of Omega-3… (skin is the best part) but knowing the general population, they probably left this savory filet to die a heat death to the warming lamps. ( Sigh )
Right next door was a huge piece of Prime Rib. I sliced of a good portion onto my plate. Grabbed a few shrimp for a bit of surf and turf action.
Now that I was in full dinner mode, I found the sauteed asparagus, in a good sauce, and right next door was a tray of mushrooms that were delicious. Added a few sweet and sour chicken pieces for a Bit of Chinese American experience.
Everything was well cooked and prepared. Except the Sw/S chicken. Could have been overcooked, I could have grabbed the wrong pieces, but I assume it was under the warmer a bit too long. Not really a complete because everything else really tasted delicious.
The whole reason for my visit was that it hit up the hibachi grill but after that nice plate my stomach was feeling a bit cramped. I did make my way there. The cook was very nice, and made my order perfect even though I intentionally made a small plate.
Dessert has changed since covid there's soft serve machine is not in order, but they do have a deep freezer full of ice cream and of course fortune in almond cookies. For those of you on a diet, I would suggest the fruit version of this but I always indulge on the cookies and ice cream after a huge meal at a buffet like this.
It was very worth the money, the staff was perfect, the food was delectable, no complaints will go again.
As an addendum I also wanted to hit the fresh sushi bar, but I didn't think my stomach would handle my big plate, the hibachi and dessert with sushi in my stomach. So I can't really judge how talented their sushi chef is, but it is available...
Read moreExcellent choice pass by the place everytime my wife drags me into dollar tree. Never knew what they were or offered. Did a search for "chi nese buffet" when we were in the area and viola. This is the place next to dollar tree. Since my wife had that as the next stop on our journey for that day.... I thought why not try them out. I kept it to myself and after walking around that store and filling the trunk with dollar trinkets I said let's go eat. Where her question there my answer. The look on her face was priceless. So, me her and my two little locust walked curiously in. It looked nice. Upon first glance. Smells were pleasant. Reviews said staff were very nice...Check. ok not bad so far. They rang us up...wait you.mean to tell me the drink is included??? Yes, the cashier said with a smile. As she gave us the total for 4 people. I hurried up and passed my debit card across the counter before she realized that she made a mistake in charging us. She swipes the card I signed the receipt and looked for pricing...it wasnt a mistake....WOW. already long story short the food was amazing. I love the cheesy crab bake, octopus salad, sweet and sour chicken, let me just say when its cooked right and fresh....theres nothing like it. Veggies were great fresh and the variety let me tell you I'm gonna have to go ten times to try everything. It was pretty busy but the staff manages it well never felt packed and never had to wait for anything...Well done staff. P.S please T.I.P. the table waitresses they work hard and are very pleasant show them you appreciate their efforts. I saw so many people running those little ladies just to not leave a...
Read moreI've never left a review, ever. I've been coming to this spot for nearly 3 years now and today mightve officially set me off this place for good. Throughout those 3 years there's been a steady, perpetual decline when it comes to both food, and price. I used to come here often with friends and while the prices were never forgiving, food was decent enough to outweigh the grief and you'd fill up with 3 plates... maybe 2 cookies. Worth it at the time. As time went by, not only was the food quality deteriorating, prices were progressively becoming more more ridiculous, frankly. Everytime I came in I'd come out regretting my choice of establishment, but never ceased coming back. I truly likED coming here. The food has become bland, tasteless, and downright nasty. Nothing is ever even remotely warm. The chicken is hard and tastes like it's been sitting out for days. The meat is flavorless and greasy. Their bread looks and tastes like Walmarts great value brand. Their "desserts" look like the leftover sweets nobody wants at a little kids birthday party. It all just sucks. Nothing ever gets updated, it's a cold and uninviting atmosphere. People come back all the time and at this point, it truly baffles me how we can not only justify, but glorify, shitty microwaveable Chinese food at $17.60 a person simply because it's a buffet. This place has officially gone off the ropes and it shows. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone anymore.
I'm glad theyre finally giving out real forks, that was a...
