Mazzio’s Pizza & Wings — Restaurant in Jonesboro

Well I had taken my grandchildren to the trampoline park right before we came to Mazzio's, and by the time we made it there it was already 8:30. I didn't realize that they closed at 9 and they were cleaning up so they could close. So I'm trying to gather my grands up so we could leave and the older gentleman, who I'm assuming was the manager, insisted that we could stay and sit down and eat. My husband and I kept asking were they sure and he kept saying absolutely. When I say that was one of the best customer service experiences that I have ever had, I am not exaggerating! They were so kind and patient and extremely polite. They were attentive to our needs and even though they would have been justified, they did not have bad attitudes at all! They kept coming to the table to make we didn't need anything or to make sure that everything tasted good to us. We didn't leave until around 9:30 but they were still kind and polite up to the moment we left! They even complimented my grandchildren for being so good(which they weren't!😄). That is an experience that I will definitely never forget. I really hate that I didn't get their names, but kudos to the team at Mazzio's Pizza in Jonesboro that served us on March 29, 2025. Paid $20 for large pizza, beef, extra cheese, thin crust. I had asked on the phone if the pizza was large enough to be worth $20, she said it was. 13 1/2 inches, I can get 16 inch pizzas at walmart for half that price, and this pizza was dull flavored. They are not alone in that, though, Lost Pizza Co., Papa Johns, Little Caesars, 1812, I guess no one can get a good deal on italian spices, oh wait, I got some at the dollar store and put it on my pizza to make it taste like a pizza for 50¢. I don't know if pizza companies are skimping on spices because they don't care, or because three generations of youth were raised on tv dinners and hot pockets and have a low tolerance for anything that tastes like actual food. We all need to be more honest with reviews and less generous, or we are going to polite our way into a mediocrity so bland that eating dirt will be more pleasant, if it isn't already...

Tried to do a call in order, nobody would answer after 4 tries. Drove there to place an order along with getting 2 salads both items “to go” Tables had dirty plates, cups, and pans on them. There were a total of 10 people in the restaurant. Wanted a calzone ring, they were out,(!?!?) placed order for pizza. (Told it’d be a 25 minute wait) Made our salads with not a lot on the bar. Had to ask for broccoli to be refilled, no green peas nor did the employee “ever recall the salad bar having them” asked for red onion and we were handed diced ones from the kitchen.
