Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Jonesboro

I really don't like leaving negative reviews but my experience with the Sonics in Jonesboro today has been negative and this one sealed the deal. 2 stars on Google mean i disliked it and that is true. However, I'm going to be nice and give it 3 star, that's "it's ok", since i have been here before and never left a review. The other times i have been here, i have had a lengthy wait also, so that's not new but today the wait was exceptionally long! Today at the Sonic on Johnson, i waited at least 20 minutes for someone to take my order. I never got anyone to come to the intercom. This was around 4:30 p.m. today. Finally, i just left. I went to the stadium Sonic and did not have a good experience there, either. So I decided to come to the Parker Road Sonic to see if I could finally get my cherry limeade. I pulled in, granted it is 5:50 p.m., I pull into the stall and I wait after pushing the button. No one answers so I push it again thinking maybe it didn't work the first time or maybe i didn't push it all the way down. I finally get someone on the intercom and they say " Give me a minute". So I wait because I can see 2 cars to my left and a car 2 stalls over on my right. Then after about 5 minutes a black SUV pulls in right next to me pushes the intercom and gets waited on quickly. Okay, no big deal. Maybe the stalls are assigned to specific workers. I wait and wait and wait some more. And after another 7-10 minutes I push the button again, still no answer, a car a few stalls over starts honking. That's when I decide to just leave. I back out of the stall and I see that nearly every stall has a car in it so I decide to go through the drive-thru, maybe that will be quicker. I notice that the line is extremely long. At least seven cars. I get in line and wait for about 5 seconds and then just decide to leave. Wait time was exceptionally long.

After writing this, i read the other reviews and it seems that extremely long wait times are...

The young lady that took my order was pleasant and took the order like every other time I visit but when the food arrived the carhop said it was cash only. I suggested that they really need to say something when taking the orders. I had to drive to a near by Walmart go inside to purchase an item in order to get cash back. I returned and asked that the manager put a small discount on my order since they had neglected to prewarn me of the need for cash and my fresh food was now under a warmer. The carhop said no they couldn't do anything about it and I asked to speak to the manager as my sister is a co partner and they are usually good about making things right. The manager came out and said they aren't giving discounts today because of the card reader being down and I nicely explained that the young lady didn't inform me of this when taking my order and explained the ordeal I had to go through to finally return for my order. She became defensive and said that she was listening to the girl the whole time taking orders and she was telling everyone. I assured her that she didn't in this case and she started to try to speak over me and argue. I stopped engaging with her and left. By the time I got home which is just a few mins from the store our food was cold and the order was incorrect as well. I will no longer use...

Food took forever to be served at least 10 minutes. There were plenty of other customers complaining so I just let it go at the time but I have to put this review due to how bad it was. The last several times I’ve been here it’s been this way so I’m done now and Im not wasting anymore of my money at this location. The hot dogs that they served us tasted like bologna that had been boiled in dirty water (not exaggerating). The cheese sticks were torn apart in their box and even when you ask for marinara or ranch sauce (any sauce) get ready for them to only bring you 1 sauce out. That’s if you’re lucky.. you most likely won’t get any so check your bag before you leave to make sure they gave you what you need. Then if they didn’t give you what you need.. prepare to wait another 10 minutes to get even something as small and simple as a small thing of marinara sauce.
