Southern BBQ Hilltop — Restaurant in Jonesboro

When we arrived it took a good 5-10 minutes to get greeted or any menus. Waitress finally came to the table, took our drink order but never brought them back. Another waiter stopped by , got our drink order and brought them right to us. After another 10 minutes or so the waitress asked if we were ready to order told her yes and she walked off. Came back, I gave her mine and my son order, she took my boyfriends and then proceeded to take mine and my son's order again. After she walked off the male waiter verified our order was correct with us. My son being 3 spilled his drink. We asked for something to clean it up. We were told we could just move tables. I took him out and my boyfriend asked for the order to go. He was told multiple they would clean the mess but it continued to sit. I would have cleaned if they would have brought me something to clean it with. While waiting for the food to go the Waitress again asked what we had.... then asked what was missing, the whole order. After finally receiving the food we left. It was not great 😕 I don't know how to describe the taste other than parts of the food was good...

Honestly on the atmosphere, other than adding a few signs for bbq, is the same setup as 1812 pizza was, tables, tv, even the large specialty drink menu hadn’t been changed. If you want smoky bbq, this isn’t the place to go. Brisket tasted as if it was cooked in the oven and the only flavor was black pepper. Burger was under seasoned and seemed fried instead of smoked or even grilled. The only good thing I could say about the place was our waitress was amazing and attentive and brought take home boxes because we didn’t eat anything but the okra and fries out of two meals. It’s about the same price as blue ember, so $12-15 a person on average without a drink. Was let down on quality of food though and don’t want to waste another $30 to try again. After I washed the pepper off the brisket, the dogs loved the burger...

It wasn't busy when we got there just one other couple. The waitress we had was just off putting and felt like she was rushing us and hovered over you to order and pay (just awkward).The other waitress seemed new and was really sweet. They had black dots on the bar drink menu which meant they didn't have it. Was going to order a Hurricane mixed drink and she came back and said they did have an ingredient for it so I just didn't get one. I decided to get a Bahama Mama and it came in a really small martini glass which was like 3 sips and gone not worth the money. My husband got the pulled pork plate and he was not impressed I tried it and didn't like it. I ordered the philly cheese steak and I took a few bites and didn't finish it.
