Bites N Pipes — Restaurant in Joplin

I came in, was greeted they were nice and friendly and they were very welcoming (Which gave me a good first impression) I asked If I was able to bring my bong in, they said no, which I am fine with, Then I asked about smoking material If I am allowed to bring my own in, they said no. I felt a little bummed out but was optimistic and didnt want to let that little detail ruin my night, The girl a the counter told me to take the menu and 'make myself at home' so i did. after looking at the menu i decided what food i wanted to eat and what flavor i wanted to smoke so I went back up to the front and told them what I was wanting. a 10 pc BBQ wing order with mint flavored tobacco. She asked if i wanted bone-in or bone-out i said i'd like boneless, she then asked if I wanted a tab or to go ahead and pay, i went ahead and paid and sat back down. I waited for about 15 min till another girl came out but with the hookah, after i got the hookah while i was waiting for my food all I was able to do was three hits, after that my body clearly did not like the tobacco because the second i tasted it I would start coughing. This is kinda why I wanted to bring my own smoking material (Mugwort) because I sortof hate tobacco. I was also given an iPad to pick music too. i did the whole time i was there and wasn't sure why i was left with the iPad alone lol. But after two hours of waiting nobody ever brought me my food. I was starving. But I was also angry because I had paid and not gotten it. I left around 10:26. I was extremely disappointed. I had a very neglectful experience at this hookah bar. I don't think I will be returning...

Great food and hookah! Lots of selection of both. The owner is super cool. Definitely a nice place to have in Joplin. My one and only complaint though is the TVs with Chromecast. At first I thought "Yeah! This is awesome!" I enjoyed playing some chill music too relax and enjoy while smoking and drinking a beer. I only got about 20 minutes to play music though before the TV started blasting very loud very explicit hip hop for the next several hours. I don't mind explicit music, but after the 100th repetition of n*r f**k py at 110 decibels it gets a little old. My buddy and I could barely hold a conversation over the music. Totally ruined the whole experience for me. A few times there was a break in the music for a few minutes, and I tried to play something, but that song usually only lasted 30 seconds before it was hijacked with four hip hop. I'll be back, but maybe next time I'll come earlier before the young-ins come out to party. This was definitely not the chill relaxed environment I was expecting...

I've never been in this place till I got an order from door dash. I had my kids with me on this delivery. I never leave my kids in the vehicle by themselves. So I had to take them in. Not thinking what kind of place this was. I guess there's a Comedian on stage in the other room with a very foul mouth! He seen my kids with me and wanted to comment on the fact that they were in this place. And STILL continued with the foul mouth!! That to me is very disrespectful.

As I walked up to the desk the lady quickly asked the name on my order and politely said that we can wait in the vehicle and she would bring the order out.

I will not go back to this place...
