On June 5th I went into the Mattress Firm Store in Joplin. I spoke with Tony Bryant. I explained to him that my 9 year old daughter was diagnosed with stage 4 Metastatic Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma and she needed an adjustable bed. I also told him Children's Miracle Network would be helping us get her a bed. I looked around the store for a little bit. I picked out a mattress and adjustable frame. He gave me a quote for me to turn into CMN. From my understanding CMN ordered Sydni's bed within a week and sent them a check. A couple weeks later Mattress Firm called me to schedule the delivery. I was not able to schedule it at that time. I called them back on July 13th to schedule it. At that time Tony Bryant informed me that they had sold her bed because they had just had a sale and they would need to order her another one. He said they couldn't hold her bed for her even though they had bed paid. He thought it would be able to be delivered on the 21st and he would keep in contact with me. There were no apologies at all. On the 16th I called to find out who the manager was only to find out Tony was the manager. The person I spoke with that day didn't want me to contact the district manager because he was on vacation. He offered a $100 reimbursement to CMN and was hoping to still get it delivered on the 21st. He told me he would call me back in 30 minutes. Which he didn't do. I never heard back from him or Tony. At that point I had to get CMN involved. They contacted them on July 24th because we still hadn't received anything. July 30th CMN contacted them again because Sydni still didn't have a bed. Tony called her back later that day even though she had been told he was on vacation. He said it would be delivered August 4th. The $100 reimbursement that was offered was never paid either. Never once did Tony contact me after telling me that he would keep in contact with me. I feel like everything that was done was very wrong especially the fact that they knew this bed was for a child...
Read moreI am downsizing my house and went there to compare prices because I needed two queen beds - - so I walked into Mattress Firm to see what they had to offer - Jordan was very helpful and informative- - so my first visit was to get prices and warranty info - lay on the beds - ask info like are your mattresses in stock or do I have to wait …….. because I didn’t need them for about 6 6 weeks
As it got closer to the day I actually needed to order them I went back in the store and Jordan helped me get everything ordered - - I took advantage of the free adjustable base deal and queen mattress at a twin price ….. I paid the 10% down to freeze my price because I was still a week away before moving into my new house - - doing it this way allows me to cancel if things didn’t work out with my move Lolol
All together I went to about 4 stores - - prices were similar but at Mattress Firm if for any reason you want to upgrade your bed or change because you don’t like what you bought within 365 days, you just had to pay the difference plus $99
I’m looking forward in sleeping on my new bed !!!
One thing to ponder - - at any store that sells mattresses, you can’t really be sure how it feels because these beds have been laid on by tons of people - hence the reason I like...
Read moreMattress Firm in Joplin, MO has not only not followed through on their word to provide proper update for a delivery (owner was promised to be called 30 minutes prior to delivery being made so time was ensured for mattress to make it to owner as owner works same time frame of delivery hours, and time was needed for owner to commute home to receive delivery), when notice was given to owner, the delivery staff were already at the home, and the owner notified that at that time the 30 minutes were needed in order for owner to commute home so the package was received. The drive was made, and as the owner was pulling up to the house, the delivery team was leaving and refused to answer the phone or to stop to answer the phone, being clearly able to see the home they were just at and were leaving from, was being pulled into by the owner.
This is not how you run a business, this is how you make people upset and ruin relationships with businesses and customers. Very highly disappointed in Mattress Firm. Will NOT being doing business there myself, and will encourage others to find...
