Rumors Cocktail Lounge — Restaurant in Joplin

The name “lounge” is a joke-I mean, they had some padded chairs from the 90’s full of cigarette burns, but this is a dive bar that I would not recommend. I personally stepped on a bunch of coasters that were thrown on the floor on my way to the bathroom, when I got out of the bathroom the owner was picking them up and stacking them under the bar to be used again 🤮 The bar owner does not keep her promises to the musicians she “pays” (she offers them a free tab-then will say they drank “out of reason”-LOL-and charges them...and I’m glad I’ll never step foot in this...

Best bar in Joplin. They do allow smoking, but it’s a bar in Missouri. Beyond that, the people that are there are some of the best people I’ve ever met. The owner, Craig, is genuinely a nice guy. The bartenders are all awesome and actually care about people. I’ve met many of the “regulars” and have had great conversations (and shots) with many of them. Make sure you tell them ‘Chad in the van’ sent you. They’ll treat you like family.

This place was good until a certain person (manager), totally ruined it for me. Drunk stupid and a total Karen. Played some music on jukebox asked to turn up volume because you could not even hear music, she cranked it really loud than after looking at her she brought it down to something we could hear. Than she cut off jukebox with 2 songs still to be played. Acted like a total moron the...
