Thirsty Turtle Express Juno — Restaurant in Juno Beach

Disappointing experience. I just ordered to food to go. It’s unfortunate because the two young dudes were busting their butt and they’re usually very great and helpful. On the other hand there was a new fella all tattooed up and seemed to give the place a bad vibe. He just dawdled around hardly doing anything while the other boys busted their butts. I waited about 20 mins in the location after about 15 mins I already waited getting there and this big dude definitely slowed down their whole regular process. After giving me attitude and spouting off commands to everyone he proceeded to fiddle on his laptop for half the time I was there while the restaurant was jam packed with orders and when he did finally return to work he just filled up sauce cups at the pace of an institutionalized vegetable. I normally enjoy the food here and it’s normally quick but this time sucked thx to one weak link. Hope this can be remedied...

Placed an order online on their own website for a quesadilla and wrote "No Chicken!! Please :)" in the special instructions. I don't eat meat. My food was made with chicken and I called to speak to someone about it. The girl on the phone was incredibly rude and told me that it's my fault since the instructions on her end don't reflect the request for no chicken. I told her that I typed it in myself and know for a fact I requested no chicken since I don't eat meat. She refused to help me and said their website works fine so this is my fault and they wouldn't remedy the situation. I asked to speak to a manager, there was not one available. Upon reading our email receipt further, no typed special instructions appear in their system and only those chosen in the pick list show up. My wife and I were long time customers of thirsty turtle until tonight. I went to thirsty turtle express to place a to go order. Upon arrival, I noticed there was an infestation of bugs on the counter. I brought it to the young lady’s attention and she said there was nothing she could do. I find that disturbing that bugs were near food and nobody cared so I went to the main restaurant to get the manager. He then went back to express and told me that the employees couldn’t do anything about the sugar ants. When I complained I didn’t want bugs near food (a very modest request) he called me an expletive as the door closed on my way out. Thinking I surely misheard him, I walked back to confirm and he doubled down. A very sad and unprofessional way to lose a customer. I hope the owners can see this and help to retrain...
