La Esquina Guatemalteca — Restaurant in Jupiter

Just had a fantastic lunch here today with my mom and her friend. The service was great and the food was amazing. We started with guacamole and chips - perfect guacamole with a touch of heat. Then we each had an enchilada - crispy, light and delicious. We ordered two mains. The churrasco steak - perfectly cooked to order. The pork chop delicious and lightly fried. Both served with rice, beans, tasty salad and tortillas. Finished off with the best flan I have ever tasted - light and tasty, not too sweet. This is a family owned Guatemalan restaurant, everything is home made and fresh. The service couldn't be better - all our questions were answered about the menu, and we had a lot of questions. I live out of state, but can't wait to come back here to eat when I'm back in west palm beach. I'd like to try everything...

Edit: No, I don't have the wrong place, I know exactly what place I'm talking about. It's a disgusting restaurant and you need shut down. You have roaches and rats actively clawing around in your establishment. Do better! WARNING* This place has roaches! I had to keep swatting flies away from my food. I see by the reviews a lot of people have not noticed they're keep their dry goods outside in a back building that's accessible to ants, roaches, rats and whatever creepy crawlies can get inside. I saw roaches actively crawling inside and rats outside. After calling them out about the roaches I was asked to leave. I didn't finish my food! Very unprofessional and disgusting...

Did a little digging to find a good place down here. Very unassuming on the outside, but don't be fooled. This place is a gem! Between us, we had the birria tacos and the taquito special. Both were amazing! I've never has birria tacos like this. Clearly house made tortillas fried up right. Cheesy, but not too much. Super flavorful consumme to dip them in... Unbelievable. The taquitos were crispy and delicious, served with a side of fresh salsa (along with the other fresh salsas they serve with the meal). The flan for dessert was a great way to finish. Next time we're back in the area, we'll be making our way back...
