Cardelli's Italian Deli — Restaurant in Jurupa Valley

Thanks to some recent blood work I had done, I decided to lay off the burgers and fries for a bit and go with the non fried stuff. A quick search for sandwiches in my area led me to the deliciousness found within Cardelli's. Cardelli's is located off of Limonite Ave in the same strip mall as a Dollar General and Stater Bros market. When you walk in, you actually come in to the dining area. Couple of boothes here, couple of tables there. The drink dispenser and menu is on your left and the place where you order is to the right. Really great menu of sandwiches both cold and hot. I can attest to the excellence of the Turkey Club (on French roll) and the signature Cardelli sandwiches. Cardelli's definitely does not skimp on the meats, cheeses and veggies. Each sandwich is so loaded, they're a bit difficult to close. Not a bad problem to have though! For $1.99 you can add a drink and a small side. By small I mean very small but with the drink it's an easy yes from me. I recommend the tasty potato salad. Service is always friendly and efficient, even when it's crowded...

I can't believe I didn't know about this place sooner and I only work a couple miles from here! So far I have tried the chicken salad, the tuna salad, and an Italian combo... Those are all offered as sandwiches but I follow a ketogenic diet so I get it "in a romaine boat". That means they put all the deliciousness on a layer of long romaine leaves so you can pick it up and eat it with your hands. Genius!! You can't beat their prices, either. And super sweet people work there and you can tell they like their job. A note about the chicken salad if you are following a low carb or ketogenic diet: it has scrumptious dried sweet cranberries in it which I LOVE but are not part of my eating plan so I can easily pick them out. Another note... As a prison with a severe allergy to ALL nuts and peanuts, I've had no troubles here and the chicken salad...

Absolutely delicious. Husband and myself always roll all the way to Jersey Mike's in Fonatana because it was the closes sammich shop until my silly butt remembered there was THIS sammich shop so much closer to us. I heard some good thangs bout this place.l, so I finally decided to try it out. I never enjoyed such a delicious sammie like this place. I selected 'the cardelli' with everything on it and a side of bowtie pasta salad. The bread was soooo soft and fresh, the meat and cheese - UGH, the topping was simply perfect.
