Ono Hawaiian BBQ — Restaurant in Jurupa Valley

First of all the food was great! My reason for leaving a review was for what we witnessed happen to another customer. My order number was I believe 93. There was already another person waiting for their order and it was clear she was getting impatient. She asked nicely if her order was ready. Her order was 85. Apparently they had forgotten about her order after she had already waited an hour. No one apologized to her or even offered her something. In fact my order was ready before hers. When she asked to cancel her order, again no apology no explanation no nothing! Completely mishandled the situation by who ever the manager was. What makes it worse was after they gave her money back, not even 30 seconds after she walked out, they have the nerve to call out that her order was ready. The manager didn't even let her cooks know she was canceling her order. They wasted over an hour of her time and didn't even give her an apology or offer to still give her the food. Although I had no issue with my order, seeing how they handled that definitely makes me think twice...

My wife and I decided to try this place for dinner last night. When we arrived around 9ish PM. The restaurant is very clean, well-lit with nice decorations. The staff were attentive to customers. My wife ordered BBQ chicken and Beef Combo and I ordered Kalua Combo with Chicken Katsu which is basically shredded pork and bearded chicken. The food arrived shortly. Everything is served in disposable containers even if you are eating in the restaurant which I think is a turn-off! The food was generally good. Not healthy but good! Kalua had a really good smokey taste but was too salty. The BBQ Chicken was just great and juicy. Both combos came with three scoops of steamed rice, macaroni salad and vegetables. There is a water fountain in front of the restaurant which makes a great spot to relax and eat. Overall, it was a good experience if you want to try...

You guys have TERRIBLE costumer service. First of all we gwt there keep in mind on the afternoon shift there's like 6/7 employees NOBODY says hi or Welcome, there's 3 of them talking to each other, stand for like 2 minutes looking at the menu and again NOBODY how can I help you or are you ready to order Nothing!!! I obviously stared at them and its like Im wrong for interrupted them... 🤦‍♀️ the guys takes my order gives me the receipt NO thank you no Nothing Im the one that says thank you, then I'm waiting for the food, and this guys is poking his coworker finger with one of the forks (Hopefully not mine) last but not least pick up the food and again no thank you no Nothing 0 costumer service.. Long story short give better training to your employees management or...
