There are some really cool creations behind the counter! The variety in pastries and flavors means that you can always fall in love with something new. There are pastries I’ve never seen before (looking at you Baja Blast mochi donut) that make it clear the bakers have put lots of thought into each item. Some of my favorites were the: milk and honey mochi donut (great control of sweetness), brioche cinnamon roll, mushroom spinach croissant (there’s a spice that I didn’t expect, but I’d happily have it again), and strawberry apricot danish.

Now, I can understand why BHB might not be for everyone.

  1. You will not find a traditional donut here. The texture of the mochi donuts are chewy, moist, and dense - that might not be your style, but if you like mochi, you’ll like these!
  2. If you want a simple and consistent menu, you probably need to look elsewhere. Some options will stay for a while, but every flavor or topping has the potential to be cycled out.
  3. The service is efficient and polite, and no one has ever rushed me when I was pondering what to get. I have no problem with this at all!! But some folks might want a place where you get to develop a close relationship with the staff and other customers. BHB isn’t really meant for that - sometimes there’s just one person behind the counter and a long line of folks to help, so there isn’t time to chat. Also, there isn’t any seating here, so once you get your food, you’re out the door. This is convenient if you’re on the go, but you might want to know more about the place, people, and pastries.

Overall, I would recommend giving BHB a try - the pastries are indeed tasty and fresh, so you just might discover your new...

This was my first time visiting, and for sure won't be my last!

I came early on a Saturday and there was a line. It's was moving fast and you can see all of the different pastry. I asked the person behind me their recommendations. They listed off many items and I was thinking of what to order. I came for the Mochi donuts that I heard about.

When I got up to order I spoke to Brent and tool everything in. I was indecisive and apologized I'd I take a little bit. Brent told me that's alright this moment is our Blackhole and take your time.

He gave me recommendations of the cinnamon roll, their mochi donuts, croissants. I had my nieces and sister over this morning so I got an assortment.

We ordered Mochi Donuts they are changed monthy so don't miss out Lemon Poppyseed, Birthday Cake, Blackhole Chocolate, Starwberry & Rhubarb, and Pink Lemonade. They where chewy and delicious each bite was like a pillow.

Crissoants always are a must-have. Everything, Blueberry, Biscuit & Gravy, and Ham and Gruyere. At this point I added a mixture of a Cinnamon Roll, Cosmic Brownie, Ube Cake, Fresh Fruit Puff, Apricot & Pistachio Puff, and a Tomato & Feta Puff.

Thank you Brent and Rowan for all of your help and kindness. Everyone in my house loved them and asked...

Come here and get their pastries. Let me warn you, One is not enough. My wife enjoyed her time in France because she could have Chocolate Croissants every day. Here in the states, sadly, she has found nowhere that offers her a similar taste experience... until we found BlackHole. She said it is not exactly the same but it is very very good. Textures, smell, balance of the dark chocolate... she can never get just one. We travel 30 minutes to get here. That is a blessing. This would have to be one of the top three Chocolate Croissants she has had in the US.

The Mochi Donuts are wonderful. The different monthly flavors keep it interesting. The texture and chew, wonderful. The addition of the glaze adds a great punch. I have not eaten enough of their mochi to know if they ever add fillings. None that I tried had a filling. We have had Mochi in Japan and Hawaii. These were better than 95% of the mochi products we have tasted. I highly recommend getting one of each flavor.

Go early because they can and do sell out of their most popular pastries. The open at 7am during the week.

We also tried their cookies. Oatmeal pecan and chocolate chunk. Very good...

Loved it! Everything, literally everything, tastes amazing. Very fresh, very flavorful. Cannot recommend ENOUGH! We particularly enjoyed the pepperoni pizza bagel - it was airy and light, and the garlic herb cream cheese paired perfectly. The caramelized onion and goat cheese puff was 🔥! You cannot pick anything wrong here.
