Best ice cream around hands down my favorite privately owned ma n PA ice cream shop. Honestly, it is my favorite ice cream... go for the cinnamon honey or the breakfast ice cream bacon and pancakes with maple...omg so good. But you can get this homemade donut bread thing and put the ice cream inside the donut thing....totally the bomb diggity!!! high hopes gets it from the fresh bakery across the street. I've been to this place twice now. Once last year and we got the cinnamon honey one the kids got some cotton candy something I don't know, but they loved it. Today's my mom's birthday, and she had a hankering for ice cream, so I mentioned high hopes. I remembered it was good but I forgot how good. Like it was worth it cuz i hate driving from liberty during rush hour traffic. But when I mentioned it to my significant other he rushed home from kc ks to take me to meet my mom from buckner just to get a scoop of that cinnamon honey ice cream....I can't wait to go back...this time it won't be that...

We got the Joy of Almonds vegan ice cream. Chocolate, crunchy coconut, and toasted almond slices mixed in. It was good, with a fairly strong chocolate flavor, a creamy texture, no strong overtones from the base, pretty sweet but not crazily so.
The portion was pretty good and the price was fairly reasonable for things these days.
They also have floats available! Plus some shakes and other items. Service was friendly.
If you are strictly vegetarian AKA vegan, they only had one option when we stopped in, but it was clearly marked and good. Not just a boring sorbet like a lot of non-vegan-friendly places might have. Their focus is dairy based ice creams, but it sounds like sometimes they have a few flavors to pick from.
They apparently even had a vegan waffle cone, it was a little on the chewy side, but tasty.
Definitely worth a try if...
Read moreYall this place blew my expectations, soooo good! Their flavors are super unique and it’s located across the street from a beautiful black owned book shop so you know we got some scoops and headed over there after. The workers were very patient and kind, explained some of the flavors to us and were down to let us sample. We wanted the chamoy mango one that’s featured in their website but it’s only a summer flavor, but we’ll definitely be back for it. As for the atmosphere, they have some seating area outside but it’s first come first serve so just prepare to take your ice cream with ya or eat it standing if you go when it’s busy because I think they only had 2 picnic tables. I got the sweet potatoe pie ice cream and my partner got the strawberry birthday cake, and my favorite of the two was the strawberry birthday cake. Highly recommend...
