I am truly disappointed in the experience. I made reservations ahead of time, which did go well being seated promptly. That is where the positive ended. We were given a table in the middle of a very busy thoroughfare. Servers were brushing past us the entire time. I had to move my wife to the other side of the table away from the main walkway. Then, servers began cutting between tables and constantly brushing against the back of my wife. For being an "upscale" restaurant, I believe the table itself was from a flea market the way it wobbled. If you touched the table to either side, it would spill drinks. Drinks we did not get, btw, until half into a second basket of dipping bread. Yes, we sat there with food and no water for some time. Our obviously new server Aiden seemed like he was trying but overwhelmed. They shouldn't have given him so many tables when he was this new. Not only was our table wobbly and spilling drinks, but the table was covered with a white sheet of paper meant to look like a nice white table cloth while also making cleanup easy. The problem with this is when drinks were finally brought the glasses were covered in water on the outside like they just came out of the wash, and instead of being set where a glass should be set above the plate they were placed at our elbows. When we moved them where they belonged, it left water trails all over the paper tables, creating quite the messy eyesore. When the outside of the glassed finally dried, there was caked food on one of the glasses and had to be sent back. The appetizer we ordered and the mixed drink were rather good. But when our food arrived, it was subpar at best. Noodles were heaped and drying to one side, and sauce instead of drizzled over the top was mostly off to the side with the small amount of shrimp. The meals were NOT aesthetically pleasing. Luckily, the shrimp were at least cooked properly. The price was reasonable or would have been had anything else gone right. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed, but the operation seems to need work. I don't know that I will return. I'm frankly embarrassed that I told my wife I was taking her somewhere nice...
Read moreAs Seniors living 20 miles from your restaurant my wife and I only get over to eat in your Zona Rosa restaurant on special.occasions. We have always enjoyed our dining experience at Bravo. Yesterday was NOT one of those times. We invited my brother and his wife from Independence to join us for a Valentine’s Day lunch. I was looking for a 12:00 - 12:30 reservation and was told only a 11:30 was available. We arrived at that time to a nearly empty restaurant. We were seated about two tables behind the hostess desk and when the door was opened it was quite chilly at the table. When it’s as cold as it is now, why not seat people towards the back of the restaurant and away from the rent door draft?
Secondly our service was poor. We had to ask for everything, two more menus so each of us could see what we wanted at the same time. We had to ask for water, and extra bread as well.
Thirdly, two of our pasty dishes were NOT good. They were dry, gummy, and hard on the edges. The Shrimp Scampi dish was good and my Salmon was excellent. We had our server bring extra Alfredo Sauce to make the pasta palatable. We should have sent both back, but we didn’t. Our Creme Brulies seemed as they were pulled our of the cooler and warmed the topping. Isn’t the pudding normally slightly warm and not cool?
Our young server was polite, but seemed either new or untrained on how to provide a good dining experience to your guests. When we left about 1:00 the restaurant was less than 20% occupied. Did a lot of customers fail to come because of the Weather? We braved it to be with you. I don’t Recall being asked “how was the meal” and as un-busy as you were why could’t The Manager have time to check on his/her guests.
I put this review on “your website” rather the bash your restaurant publicly on Facebook, Yelp, or the like. I want to assure you that this is not my nature to be unpleased or write a review as I have just done. We were quite disappointed in our Valentines Day experience at Bravo We will have to ponder...
Read moreThe ambiance is nice. Like the space and lighting etc. Not very good value food and service wise. Pasta tasted bland and overcooked, eggplant is too soft (eggplant Parmesan in olive garden is better surprisingly -crisp and tastier),so I’m not actually sure if this is just one of those chains or it’s supposed to be an authentic Italian restaurant. Our server seems to need more training in customer service for sure. I am heavily pregnant and said I won’t be able to eat anything raw/uncooked/or fresh and anything with alcohol and asked which ones won’t have those. She looked at me like it’s a weird dumb question and answered everything is cooked and there’s no alcohol in any of the ingredients. For real? Is that actually possible when it said in the menu one of the soups has sherry in it, and like are all your salads cooked?? Don’t shrimp scampis normally have some alcohol? Not sure if the server was a newbie but the question is a standard question. Her answer left me in doubt if she actually knew. So I left after eating, kind of anxious and with uncertainty and not quite assured as to if I’m eating the right thing or not or if there’s actually some wine lurking in the food I just ate or not. We should’ve have just probably left without ordering smh. Please educate your servers how to respond to customer queries and that customers ask questions for safety reasons because they have a valid concern to food allergens and medical restricions especially pregnant women. Or you can put up a list in your site of which food are raw and have some alcohol content. A lot of restaurants do this. This is a normal question people ask. A well trained server should know the ingredients of the menu and how to answer appropriately in a well mannered way, and to let customers know what they can or not eat on the menu based on these restrictions. Some basic things to...
