Charlie Hooper's Brookside Bar & Grille — Restaurant in Kansas City

This place is contaminated with privilege and entitlement. Not one single employee that I came in contact with smiled as we spoke. I felt like I was being tolerated, not welcomed. The crowd was large and the patrons were young, very young, questionably young. Half of them were dressed casually and half were dressed for a prom after party. The dark haired waitress or bartender in front of the bar working the patio had the most disgusting look on her face. It was almost irritating. The bartender behind the bar looked bothered with me but but she instantly became extremely polite to others. It was like magic. The big fella behind the bar reminded me of being in exclusive dives in California who hired his prototype to sort of be like Samuel Jacksons character on Django. My waitress (Lakin) wasn't too bad but after I paid for my food she told me to stay at the table. It was a strange and awkward command. I was ordering my food to go so maybe that played a part. Regardless you don't tell a grown 40 year old man to sit in the corner and be still. Plus my order turned out wrong so I just assumed the waitress made a mistake but it could have been on the chef instead idk and idc. I ordered fish tacos and they were very good. I also ordered potato skins with no bacon. They ignored my no bacon request so I have no idea what those taste like. I couldn’t stomach the thought of going back to get it corrected. I ordered food thru Uber eats last night. The lobster and shrimp mac and cheese was amazing. However I ordered a snicker pie dessert which has ice cream. Now, I understand that this will melt some but my problem was that they sent it on a piece of paper in a box. They have round containers that the pie could go in. I know because they sent my fruit in the round container, but chose to put my ice cream on paper in a box. I am a pretty reasonable person so I called to let them know how I received my dessert and the manager on duty immediately became defensive. Told me that that is how they send it, they keep it in a cooler until it gets picked up she then went on to say that if I wanted a refund I would need to contact uber. I let her know that I was not trying to get my money back, I just wanted to let you all know how my pie came and it didn't make sense to me since I see that you do have round containers. She then had an attitude and stated well thanks but I have no control over that, that's the way we do it. I was turned off by her attitude that I asked if she were the only manager which she stated she was for the night. I said ok, I'll call tomorrow. She began saying some other words, I told her she sucked and I hung up the phone. All I was wanting was maybe a complimentary dessert when I came in or something. Me and my family decided to go here on a Taco tuesday night which is there steak nights to play darts, however the dart machine was not working and Annie F. stated that it has been down for three weeks every since she came back from vacation. Because we are of a different culture we began to start feeling rushed too purchase. We told Annie that we only came here mainly to play darts, then she asked us did we want to leave and then started to grab our drinks which was a moscow mule and a tequilia margarita we then said no We are going to stay. So to make the atmosphere friendly for us we decided to put money in the juke box machine to play hip hop music and everyone seemed upset and flustard it was very uncomfortable inside so we decided togo outside on the deck to be in our own space. More people started to come outside which at first no one was out there, We began to smoke marajuana and tobacco and she walked up to the table and stated that we could not smoke on the Deck and said i know its legal but this is still the property we said ok. i also waited on my food for 35 mins, my family had already received there steaks and had eaten.
