In town for work from Southern Cali my co-worker said that he had yet to find any good Mexican spots. He obviously didn't stop by here and he confirmed when Iasked him. This place is legit I felt as if I was standing in a Taqueria in: Santa Ana, Los Angeles, San Diego heck even Tijuana! Any where but K.C. it felt like home I was in a mini trance. TheTaquero was quick to put together your order slapping a healthy amount of meat of your choice on to a tortilla that came fresh of the conveyor belt earlier that same day . I went with the $5 taco special , that took me from feeling like I was at home to feeling like I was dreaming, they weren't Street Taco size tortillas either and to top it off they're made in house in the Tortilleria. I ordered: 2 Asada, 1 buche and 1 Al Pastor. The Asada was cooked to perfection. The Buche was nice and crispy around the edges just the way I like it and the al pastor was seasoned just right (some places can over do it). You get your tacos made right in front of you then you make your way to the cashier but right before that is yhe fully loaded Salsa bar with the fixings so you can dress your tacos just the way you like. The dining area is adjacent to the Carniceria and was nice and clean. There was even a couple of K.C.'s finest in there enjoying some good tacos. 5 stars to Don Antonio!!!

Read moreAfter tonight I'm extremely disappointed ! I hardly ever leave a bad review unless I have a horrible encounter ! So anyways my boyfriend and I are both Black lets start there. Ok so I've been a customer since 2015 . I haven't had any food there since 2017. I use to be so excited to enjoy the yummy great food. One of my favorite parts was also ordering in Spanish being that I'm Black and I've taken 5 years of Spanish. Tonight it was an issue which I've never had before. The cook was acting like I irritated him because I ordered in Spanish , he got an attitude and just threw the meat on there . Then I'm ordering sides and he cut me off and told me to go back to the counter to order when the young lady was when she said come down there . He didnt want to give us a side of beans but could put them on our burrito. They proceeded to give us hard meat that was extremely dry !! The quality was disgusting like he purposefully gave us the old meat due to his prejudice ! Overall culturally and personally I am offended. I support minority business period. This will no longer be one . If you treat the Black community with respect I'm sure the majority will do the same and those like myself who appreciate different cultures and languages will try to erase the language barrier out of respect. This entire experience was horrible , rude , and...
Read moreI've been buying tamales here for the past 4 years. And everytime I have ordered my tamales in advance. I stop by in person, place my order with my name and phone number. And every year it has been the same issue at the time of pickup. They don't have my order. I talked to three different people behind the counter letting them know I place my order in advance. And I get the same argument, we don't have your order. So this will the last time, I spend over $100 on tamales at this place. They are also not cheap at $20 a dozen, a price hike of $16, $18 and now $20. Inflation right? Well I'm not to go through the humiliation of going back and forth with them over my forgotten order anymore. Also, after ordering 4 dozen tamales, 2 with red and 2 with green sauce. I get home and only received 2 dozen of the red and 1 dozen of the green and only half of dozen of the green. So I was charged for a dozen but was only given half dozen. Don't buy your tamales here. This is place is over rated. Customer service sucks, they are not organized with large orders.Tamales are hit or miss. You will get one the tastes good and others that are over greasy, undercooked, or very...
