The Original Wing Busters & More — Restaurant in Kansas City

This owner/manager does not know the importance that repeat business comes from treating the customer that you value them. The cashier at the front appears to be incompetent and lacks people skills. I overhead him state that I apologized but she still wants a refund as if I was wrong to request my money back for poor quality food. This establishment decided that they would not give me a refund for an order that I did not request. The food was very poor quality and I would not recommend this restaurant due to poor customer service and poor quality food. The cole slaw was swimming in watery mayo and the chicken nuggets I did not order were tough as nails. There are way too many nearby chicken eateries near and far that I would suggest than to waste your time and money with Wing Busters. Warning do not spend your money here because if you don't get what you requested or the food is not to your standards there will be no refund. Whatever the confusion was with the online ordering process I did not get what I wanted and the female decison maker took it as a threat because I was dissatified with the food. I respectfully told her that I want my money back and she refused to accept the food back with a refund. I have never ever had a restaurant deny me of a refund because of my dissatisfaction. First caveat, I've only over been to the downtown location. Second caveat, I've only ever used the Groupon.

The good news: everything I've tried was tasty. The wings were good and they have so many different types of sauces and coatings. The fish nuggets were crispy and flavorful. I really enjoyed them. Also, the counter staff was helpful and pleasant.

The bad news: it takes FOREVER to get your food. I have sat for more than 20 minutes as the only one in the restaurant waiting for my takeout order (the parking lot has 30 minutes free so I was well aware of the time.) Definitely call ahead. Also, the downtown location has the most inconsistent hours I've ever seen. Closed on Fridays? And even their posted hours are not always accurate. I went there on Thursday this week at 7:00 and they were closed, even though their site says open until 9:00. Definitely call ahead to make sure they will be open when you arrive.

It was my FIRST time eating here and i was SUPER excited but it was Easily the worst experience i've ever had at ANY business establishment. Started with no parking so i had to drive 2 blocks away and pay $5 for a garage space. Then they ran out of WINGS on a 50 cent wing day, which was the entire reason i went there anyway. I then altered my order to get 2 separate 3 fish combos on a BOGO free. After an hr wait..i finally pick my food up expecting 2 boxes right? WRONG!!! They put 6 pieces of fish in 1 box, with 1 bread, and 1 side...DOES THAT SOUND LIKE 2 COMBOS TO YOU? I'm almost positive i was charged incorrectly too. I called to give them the opportunity to fix it. I was basically told tough luck, we can replace the fries tomorrow but cant give you anything else. In the end, me and my coworker went the remaining of the day half-hungry because we only had enough food to feed 1 individual although we paid for 2 COMBOS. Worst place...
