Duck Donuts is hands down one of the best donut experiences I’ve ever had. What sets them apart is that every donut is made-to-order. They’re fresh, warm, and customized exactly the way you like it. You choose the coating, topping, and drizzle, and they create your perfect donut right in front of you. The kids had a blast creating their own donuts! The classic vanilla cake donut base is soft on the inside with a light crunch on the outside, and the flavors are fantastic. We loved the s’mores and the donut with coconut shreddings! Of course the little ones loved their donut creations with a ton or sprinkles! Whether you're into maple bacon, cinnamon sugar, or something fun like blueberry icing with lemon drizzle, there's something for every taste. The shop itself is always clean and welcoming, and the staff are super friendly and patient, even when you're taking your time deciding from all the mouthwatering options. It’s also fun to watch the donuts being made while you wait! Highly recommend for a treat yourself moment or bringing something special to a gathering. Once you try Duck Donuts, it’s hard to go back to ordinary donuts!

Interesting concept, donuts made to order from start to finish right in front of you. Lots of variety, good flavors. Probably needs a bit more time between cooking the donut and applying the topping, a decent amount of topping slid off the top due to the heat. On the flip side, eating a great donut when it still warm from being made is extremely satisfying. And, adding a bit more time for the donuts to cool post cooking then would add to the customer’s wait time. They’ve probably found the best time to apply toppings. Pricing is a bit out there; 2.75 for a single donut, 15 for half a dozen, and 22 for a dozen is by far the highest price I’ve ever seen. Notably, this is the only donut shop I’ve shopped at that made the customer’s donuts in front them immediately after they order. All said and done, if super fresh unique donuts are your thing then Duck Donuts in the place for you; but the experience and quality will come at a cost.

In short: these donuts are made for Instagram, not for eating. While the base donut itself is okay—albeit a bit on the cakey side—the glaze is a crime against taste buds. One bite leaves a slick, greasy film in your mouth, likely courtesy of palm oil. It’s the same unpleasant coating you get from mass-produced snacks like Hostess donuts. Visually, they’re stunning—bright, colorful, and clearly engineered to go viral. But much like a pretty face with no personality, the experience falls flat. You’re left with an empty feeling and an oily aftertaste. Pretty? Yes. Worth eating? Not really.

I ordered a dozen donuts online and arrived right at my pick up time. The donuts were amazing but the service was not. I went to where it said order pickup and I was the only person standing there. There were two people sitting, waiting for their order and a few people sitting and eating at the tables. I stood there for quite awhile and nobody out of the 5 employees working greeted me. They didn't tell me they would be with me in a moment, they didn't say a word. They were making donuts for the people who had ordered in store but did not acknowledge I was there. I saw an order of a dozen donuts sitting on a shelf waiting but wasn't sure if they were mine. After several minutes of being ignored, I spoke up and said, "Excuse me. Where do I pick up an online order?" The person turned and looked at the receipt and handed me my box of donuts without saying a word. No thank you, here you go, have a nice day...
