Was SO happy to see something return to that building. Let’s get to the good stuff. I ordered the enchiladas w/beans n rice….my only complaint is it needed some onions. Other than that I’d give it a 10! You don’t get a lot of rice nor beans but tbh the enchiladas are a good size. I could only eat half. That was great because lunch was taken Care of. I even went as far to order it again using a delivery company. They had a bogo on the bean n cheese burritos. I wish I had a scale!! These things were HUGE n heavy. My 14 yr old son can eat a whole burrito from another place on n.oak “M” like a drink. He could not eat all of it. I would say you could honestly take the filling out n either make one or two. Or eat it as a side. They do offer extras to add to it. I wish I had. I tried the second one we bought and it just needed some sauce n maybe some e extras. It cost me $9.09 for TWO which could feed at least 4 by cutting in half of like I said. Taking some of the filling out. I bought one taco to try. Now I was expecting a fried taco like idk in a tub… this was a good size but the shell was I guess a small tortilla (?). It was thick n held lots of grease. Won’t be buying those. Based on portions, price. Taste on the few items I tried, I will go back. I do like beans but theirs is not the best. In fact I didn’t eat the side of beans. When I did I mixed it with the rice. My pic shows the cheese pull, I went further but it didn’t fit in pic. I like their food better than the other two on n oak. Portions better than “M”, but m’s tacos are way better. Defiantly worth a try. (Didn’t get pic...
Read moreDeceptive signage. As I was pulling in, I caught the sign, buy 2, get one free. Even though it was 6:00 am, I had traffic behind me and couldn’t read the details.
When asked for my order, I said I guess there’s a buy 2 get one free special? The male order taker seemed confused so I had to repeat myself and eventually gave up and said 3 mixed burritos with beans.
The cashier eventually came to the window, didn’t say my total and handed me a receipt for $38.18 and walked away.
When she came back and I asked about the special, she told me the exclusions. Now I’m not upset there are exclusions, there’s always a catch, BUT, not having quality communication skills is what drives English only speakers crazy.
If you’re going to have a special with exceptions and someone orders outside those exceptions, please have the presence of mind to at least say something. I only needed one burrito, but thought to order for my coworkers to expand the brand. Fat chance of me saying good stuff about Panchos!
I’ve eaten at all the locations, including Topeka, and was excited when Vivian road opened near my house.
This isn’t the first disappointing experience at Pancho’s, but it is my last at...
Read moreAbsolutely HORRIBLE in every possible way. It was our first time there. Not only was our order wrong, but the food we DID try was gross. The rice was bland, the beans were bland, the carne asada meat was absolutely nothing but Gristle getting stuck in our teeth and making us gag.
One of my kids ordered a kids meal with a taco. There was no description of the meat in the taco description so we thought it would be like ever other Mexican restaurant in America and come with ground beef. It did not, it came with carne asade meat. Which, again was nothing but gristle and unchewable. When we kindly asked to try either something else or get a refund, the employee laughed and said the policy of the owner and manager are, “If they don’t like the food, that’s their problem. NO REFUND!!” The employee was extremely rude and laughed at us for requesting a refund. She said they don’t have a manager at night and there is no phone number to call during the evening hours. I told her that was ridiculous and didn’t make sense she pretended to give me the number to call.
If negative stars were a thing. I would give negative stars.
