Very concerned. First inside we notice the ice cream was very soft. Perhaps due to the large amount of frost accumulated in the freezers. The ice build up was covered in ice cream and it wasn't from one day. Some of it had stuff growing on it. Then back in my car eating ice cream, I observe 4 people, 2 girls, a guy and a baby, getting out of a car. They go inside. (they sit the baby on the floor) Then one of the girls is dancing around and proceeds to go behind the counter and begin to make ice cream orders for her friends, She scoops ice cream and makes a shake, she then scoops ice cream and puts it in a bowl, then she fixes some kind of drink, and then scoops more ice cream. She never once washed her hands, hair is flying all around as she is dancing to the music in her head (apparently). The employees keep looking at her, but no one stops her. I assume she is or was an employee, but that was disgusting. Pretty sure there were numerous health...
Read moreI tried ordering my SONS BIRTHDAY cake over the phone, they refused and said I had to come in. I came in (48hrs in advance), gave my order to the manager and PAID. He told me to call before I came, to confirm it would be ready at that time. This sounded “off” to me, but against my gut feeling, I said ok. I called as instructed, and they were oblivious about a cake order. They said they needed to call the manager and would get back to me in 10 minutes. After 20 minutes, I called back, still no answer about my cake and said they would call me back. 10 minutes later and they told me they’ve been out of the cookie dough for weeks. THE MANAGER/owner TOOK MY MONEY KNOWING THEY DIDNT EVEN HAVE THE PRODUCT!!! So I had to scramble and stop at the grocery store on the way to my son birthday party, with cookies (he doesn’t like cake). Not only that, they still have not refunded me and I had to go to my bank to handle it. DO NOT ORDER BIRTHDAY CAKES...
Read moreWouldn't it be nice if the ice cream parlors we visited looked cooler than what they usually are? I'd like to see something more Wonka-esque, if that makes sense. Columns that look like candy canes. Seats that look like starlight mints. A kaleidoscope of different colors and bright, cheerful music. Is it too much to ask? Because instead we get a Baskin-Robbins that has all the ambience of a county mental health facility. The hum of the freezers were so loud you could barely make conversation over them. It's just not a place you want to sit and enjoy your ice cream in.
Not only that, this was the dirtiest ice cream place I've ever seen. It was just gross, and I normally don't even care about that. The door to the men's room was broken and couldn't lock, and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in days either.
I'd give it one star, but the ice cream really was good. It always is. So...
