REAL SUSHI IN KC FINALLY! I wish I would have taken pictures of the food ... I will next time. This is not "cheap" sushi as in the quality. I was so incredibly impressed by the food here. I got the Philadelphia roll $7.50 (always a safe choice at a new place) their Philadelphia roll uses REAL fresh salmon, if you eat sushi then you know this is not always the case. I also got the crazy mango roll $13.50 which was considered a specialty roll here. The flavors infused with the fish reminded me of a high end sushi restaurant. Fresh ginger and a killer house made wasabi I will be back. For all of you not sushi eaters my boyfriend had beef lo mein that came out literally sizzling and steaming and they also have house made chili oil that is his go to. He said it was the best he had ever had. We also had the springs rolls which aren't always available at other restaurants (everyone likes pork spring rolls). The veggie spring rolls came out so fresh we had to wait for them to cool down. The whole entire staff was so nice, I'm not for sure but I believe the owner was even helping wait on tables and he was so nice and took time to answer any questions we had about the menu! You guys are WELCOMED surprise to our little community and we will...

We are always looking for good sushi in the Northland. So we decided to order online, which was a very easy process. I arrived to pick it up at the scheduled time and I didn’t know what the problem was, but he couldn’t find my order. I showed him the confirmation number and he quickly found the order and realized it had been sent out with a delivery driver. That’s an accident and mistakes happen. He asked if I still wanted The order and I said yes please. I waited 15 minutes and it was prepared and ready for me to take. I asked what had happened and he informed me what had taken place I said “this is my first time ordering from your restaurant, shouldn’t I be compensated a little bit for my time?” After all, it wasn’t my fault that my order wasn’t there. He did offer me a lemonade, but I’d already paid for two and didn’t need another one. I felt it should have been more than what was offered. When I got home and we sit down and had our dinner, I will say it was the best carryout sushi I’ve ever had. We will order from there again because of that reason. I hope who ever received my order enjoyed...

Something was lost in translation. I decided to try the calamari and while there conducted an experiment. The online menu claims you can order 18 pieces of sushi for $5. I knew that was almost certainly impossible, but wanted to see. The result is in my photos; I got 2 pieces of Sashimi despite requesting a roll.

Fortunately the sushi was of good quality. The soy sauce matched well. Wasabi had a nice amount of spice. Everything was great except for the obvious problem keeping me from ordering again.

The obvious; I have no idea what's going on with the online menu. A few items are apparently repeated (lemonade), many lack description, and then there's the whole sushi section where the descriptions are wrong. I have no idea which options to pick that will result in a decent sushi meal; no pictures or reliable descriptions.

The place has great promise. Service was excellent. The sushi stand is inside the chinese restaurant; an enterprising order could get stir fry and sushi to match multiple tastes. If they ever figure out the menu I'll come...

Sushi Nami at 200 NE Barry Rd (Barry and N Oak) just opened this week. He said the two of them have 50 years of experience. They were so so nice and the sushi was excellent! I gotta the Burning Man roll which has thai Chile in it, the perfect hot where it burns so good but you also can't stop, ha! I also got a crunchy roll and added jalapeño plus a california roll. They were all good sized rolls with quality, fresh ingredients. The miso was nice and rich and savory and the edamame was great too! They have a lot of rolls on the menu, can't wait to go back and try more. As of 11/2024, the strip mall is under construction, but they are open!
