Taco Cacao is one of my favorite places in Kansas City to get authentic tacos. Taco Cacao is popular & well-known to KC locals as one of the best places to get tacos for many reasons. I’d also personally recommend ordering the side of rice along with your tacos because it is absolutely delicious! You may have seen this food truck driving around Kansas City, but did you know that you could go in person to buy your tacos as well at an actual stand? Eat your tacos outside or take them with you and eat them wherever you’d like! We ended up taking our tacos to a local park and having a picnic! Make sure to stop at this taco stand or at one of the taco trucks driving around the greater Kansas City area today!

I didn’t come here expecting the best food in the city, just wanted a decent quesadilla but unfortunately I was left disappointed. The food wasn’t very good in my opinion. It honestly tasted like the same quality as Taco Bell or something similar. Not worth it at all. Was mostly cheese and barely any meat. There is also nowhere to park in this area, so you’ll most likely have to park on the side street and walk over here to order. There was outdoor seating which was good enough. I guess the other reviews left me with higher expectations but if you decide to come here just make sure to have low expectations and it should be suffice for you.

If you’re craving a taco and a great margarita, Cacao is the place to go. Their vegetarian taco is one of the best I’ve ever had. If you’re feeling adventurous, try the cricket taco! My husband gets it and says it is great, but I’ll take his word for it. The queso fundido, served with warm tortillas, is a great appetizer to share. Cacao’s Taco Tuesday specials are excellent - 3 tacos for $7.50, house margaritas for $4 and draft beers for $3. I would also highly recommend the skinny margarita with jalapeño. It isn’t on the menu, but they can make it and they make it so well.

Food is ok but not great, and I've been ordering about 1x per week since they opened on Wornall, mainly to support a local business and get some tacos. Have had no real issues outside of wait times, so have utilized online ordering system. Ordered tonight - I got a message the order didn't go through so I ordered again. When I showed up, they had prepared 2 orders. Things happen - I'm trying to explain to the guy what happened and he kept shaking his head and saying "two orders." He speaks little English, my Spanish is terrible, but me saying "no, one order" to his "two orders" in either language became ridiculous. Obviously I didn't order two on purpose but he was not going to budge and my card was already charged. I am understanding when things go wrong and wouldn't take time to do review if I had gotten any consideration at all. The same guy who did this gives me the same order each week, knew I only ordered one and couldn't care less to do right by the customer. I certainly won't be frequenting in future. They traded an extra order tonight for multiple orders a month they'll be...

Okay so I really wanted to give this place 5 stars but I can’t bring myself to do it. Also I feel some heartfelt criticism could be a good improving thing. So firstly, the area/look/feel of this place/mini taco truck was just.... ugh perfect to say the least! Second, the service was very fast as well as polite (the guy brought my tacos to my car for me!!)! I myself ordered 4 of the Asada tacos. I am by far the biggest street taco fan there is. I truly believe this so I take pride in trying as many different places as I can both in and out of state! Now digging right in, $2.25 each a taco, a bit much in the taco scene as far as the normal price in KC and surrounding areas. Also seemed a bit much for how very little meat is on each taco. As far as the taco itself, the steak, delicious!! The tortilla definitely should’ve been cooked longer. It’s like it had been soaked in oil and not fully cooked still soggy. Other than those few minor things, I rate this place almost perfect! I definitely will be back! And I thank the king gentlemen for delivering my...

I have started ordering here more frequently lately-the food is delicious, but the app needs to add more time options to their pick up times. I ordered food this morning to pick up and when I clicked to pick a time, it said asap and the wait time would be 45-51 minutes. I've used other apps before that it didn't matter what the time said, but if it said asap it would be ready regardless. I looked online to see that they had been open since 8 am. I pull up and there's no customers and there are two guys sitting in the location doing nothing. I walk up and asked for my order and he told me it wouldn't be ready until 11:10 so the 45 minute time it had actually stated. I tried to explain to him that the app said it was asap but I couldn't get the time any quicker. There was a language barrier between us and I'm not fluent enough in Spanish to explain it. But the main food is good- the sides are sub par. The main takeaway would be to just walk up to the window and don't...
