The place smells like feces as soon as you walk in. I should've left then. I asked if the bar tender could make "Prendergast" She had no idea what it was. No big deal. Not every bar carries Benedictine. A Pendergast is a Manhattan with Benedictine basically. Sje said ,"No bar in Kansas city will be able to make that for you!!". I replied that lots of bars make that drink but I know that it's not severed often. I politely asked if she knew of another reputable cocktail lounge that perhaps might carry the product. She replied ," I'm not going to tell you the name of any other bars because that would make me lose business.!"..
She told me I was rude for asking.
How rude! She didn't have what I was looking for so it is MY business where my desire of my money to go to. The least she could do was help another business out or atleast help a human out by pointing them in a favorable direction. TERRIBLE BUSINESS PLAN AND ATTITUDE. Don't support here because she dosent want to support others.

Read moreIn 2019, my friend and local musician, Martha Haehl, invited me to sing and play (I'm a bassist) at the open mic on Wed. evenings. That was my 2nd time singing in public in my life; the 1st was at another friend's birthday party. Since then, this little slice of time has become a mainstay for my week. The open mic scene at the Piano Room was dormant by mid-2020, but now it's up and running again. There's a great keyboardist/trumpeter, Ken Page, who MC's and can provide good backup to your musical ideas if you like. My hat's off to people who are exploring their talents, doing rather than watching on a Wednesday night. This is the coolest dive, and a welcoming and supportive audience awaits!...
