This place was our go to place for date night. But for the price of their food, the consistency from meal to meal is non-existent. Their service is terrible. Our total time there was an hour and a half. She didnât come greet us for 23 minutes. She didnât make eye contact with us during that time or come over and say âhey! Iâll be with you in a minute.â We legit thought we were not in her section but all the tables around us were getting helped. She finally came over and asked us what we wanted to drink (both waters) and we went ahead and ordered an app (Texas eggrolls-good but kind of pricey for what they are) because we thought she might be swamped so order now. Someone else came over because we had no drinks or silverware. She asked if we had been helped and what we were drinking. 15 minutes after ordering the app, it arrives. The other person brought it to us. We order our entrees, which she wrote down the wrong one. They fix it; she doesnât apologise. We eat and again donât see her for a half an hour. We had one glass of water each for the whole meal. So 45 minutes passes from when we get our food until I can finally flag her down for our cheque. The cheque is wrong because it didnât reflect that dayâs special. Probably a software thing so I try to let it go. 15 minutes goes by and Iâm done waiting so I take our card to the register stand and she looks so angry that I came up there. I hand her the card and say âyou seem really busy so I wanted to bring this to you so we could get out of your way.â I promise I said this nicely which is why her response was so surprising.
She brought over the receipt with a pen clipped on the top and launched it across the table at me. No eye contact or âsorry about the crazinessâ or âhope you have a good nightâ or âthanks for coming inâ. NOTHING! Considering the nightmare of waiting, wrong food, no greeting, no silverware, she could have said anything but that was it. Iâm not going to pretend like we are such regulars that our business will make/break them but that was by far the worst experience I have had.
Heads up for every server working-I get a young couple ordering water isnât your ideal table but we order because we always tip-until now. We never spend more than we budget because we know servers donât get paid near what they deserve but this behaviour was horrendous. I called a few days later once I calmed down and was on hold forever. Someone picked up, asked why I called (to go over our experience with a manager to help correct it). I was hung up on! Not an accident because they didnât indicate they were getting a manager or anything.
Sorry for the long story, I wish someone had put me through to a manager instead of hanging up on me...

The first time we went, we put up with a server who completely ignored our requests and essentially refused to serve us more than once an hour. The second time, today, my friends and I went back. We were told to where our masks when we werenât âactivelyâ eating or drinking, but once the manager left they would not car. So we complied, but if we were holding ours drinks and drinking back to back we wouldnât put them back on as all other tables around the restaurant didnât even have masks on their face. Then we were told on by the table across from us as they had no food or drinks on their table and were told to have their masks on. Then once their food came they continued to never wear their masks but as my friends and I didnât have them covering our masks between bites of food they continued to point us out so we would get in trouble as well. Our waitress then told us only to wear them until this couple left as they were being jerks about it. So we complied. Then as I had my drink in my hand and was about to drink, the bartender came to me and told me to put it on then went back to the bar where all seven people around didnât have theirs on and she completely ignored it. Then the rest of our time we were ours as no one else in the restaurant did and got nothing said to them. THEN to Top it all off, our waitress got our tickets on and put additional beers on one persons tab; when told she was wrong she tried to wait until the rest of us just stated we would pay for the extras even though they werenât ours. So long story short, unless youâre a regular, plan to be treated unfairly and pay for their mistakes. OH and we also got called disrespectful by a completely different waitress who had nothing to do with us when we were the only ones in compliance in the whole bar. 10/10 WOULD...
   Read moreOrdered through GrubHub today, had some problems with my order. Called Ugly Joe's, they told me I had to take it up with GrubHub so I said ok and hung up. Then I get a call from "Melissa" at Ugly Joe's saying that 1) adding beef to queso is not a menu option (last time I ordered it wasn't a problem so I didn't know) 2) didn't mention that I wanted no Jalapenos 3) said the only thing she saw on my salad request was that I wanted crackers so it should've been right (was missing some ingredients). I tried to call back to talk to her about it and they had someone else answer the phone and tell me Melissa was off today, she wouldn't even talk to me about it. I order from here typically once a week , even though I'm 2 blocks away, and it's usually awesome. Today the food lacked because it wasn't right, and the service when I tried to call about it lacked even more. When I called them, I even asked if they were really busy because I've been there where you cut corners in the food business when you're swamped. But they weren't busy at all.
I thought GrubHub was just the delivery service, didn't realize they are responsible for making your food as well. Also, if beef in the queso is available for an extra charge, a phone call could've been made asking if I still wanted it. I would've gladly paid for it, since I got it that way before. If I was a restaurant, I'd want GrubHub delivering for me too! Then everything...
