Wally's Pastry Shop and DellaRose Gelato — Restaurant in Kansas City

H0RRIBLE EXPERIENCE I JUST MOVE TO KCMO DOWNTOWN AND I WAS LOOKING FOR A BAKERY , AND I SAW THIS LOCATION AND I STOP BY FIRST TIME AND I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE , I WAS LETTING THE PEOPLE KNOW IT WAS MY FIRST TIME AND THEY ACT LIKE THEY CANT HELP ME OR ANYTHING . RUDE PEOPLE .NOT SURE IF IT WAS THE OWNER BUT THEY ACT LIKE THEY DIDN'T WANNA KNOWLEDGE AS A CUSTOMER .

Well to be honest I think it was the owner or something in charge because it didn't look like a normal employee and that's why I left because even if it was the manager or owner it wasn't appropriate how they greet people when I'm letting you know it was my first time , it was not a nice welcome...

Ok so here's the thing. Some of the best pastries and certainly the best petite fours in town. Better than any other bakery and I know because I hunt down petite fours like a bloodhound.

But the experience is lacking. The shop has hit on hard times and they had to move buildings. The operation is old school with cash and an extremely... vintage... decor style. Plus it's a small operation so wait times are expected.

Basically, you have to jump through some hoops to acquire said delicious pastries. I think it's worth it a couple times of the year, and I wish them future success because I want it to be easier to eat...

Extremely disappointed in the quality and professionalism of Wallys. After reading reviews I really expected more from a shop this old. I ordered a cake 8 days before needing to pick it up. I Called the day before, because they were supposed to call with a pick-up time, they had no idea about the cake, then what they did end up making was underwhelming and sloppy.
