My family loves Chinese food and while we have our go- to restaurants that are located near our home, we are more than willing to drive a little out of the way to find Chinese food that is exceptional. A good example is Grand Imperial Chinese Restaurant in Katy, Texas.
This restaurant is small on the inside, but larger than many other Chinese restaurants, the bulk of which cater more to carry out than dine- in crowds and are thus very small. The lighting is cool and I like the long, communal style table in the middle of the restaurant, perfect for a larger size party of friends or family.
The main reason to select Grand Imperial Chinese Restaurant is the food and what sets it apart is the quality of the ingredients they use. We usually get an assortment of different foods when we go out for Chinese and then share the items. I have had a few different chicken meals here, beef, and pork and found everything delicious. I was actually most impressed with the fried rice. It tasted much fresher and more natural than others, like the rice had just been harvested a few days before,
Grand Imperial serves select healthy options like Broccoli with Bean Curd and vegetarian options such as Vegetable Deluxe. The food is prepared and served with care and guess what?- the prices are actually less than those of other Chinese restaurants in the area. With so much going for it, Grand Imperial Chinese Restaurant is going to become one of my family’s go- to Chinese eateries. A few extra miles of driving are worth it for excellent food that is...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Grand Imperial Chinese Restaurant and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a pleasant ambiance. The service was excellent, with the waitress attending to our every need throughout the meal.
Now, let's get to the food! The sesame chicken was simply divine. The chicken was perfectly cooked and coated in a sweet and savory sauce with a hint of sesame that left my taste buds craving for more. The dish was garnished with sesame seeds, adding a pleasant crunch to each bite. I could tell that the dish was made with fresh ingredients and was carefully prepared to perfection.
The hot and sour soup was another standout dish. The broth had just the right amount of heat and sourness, with generous portions of fresh vegetables. It was the perfect balance of flavors and textures, and I found myself savoring each spoonful.
Aside from the food, the dine-in experience was sublime. The restaurant's decor and lighting created a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a night out with friends. The attentive staff made sure our glasses were always full and checked in on us regularly to ensure we were enjoying our meal.
Overall, I highly recommend Grand Imperial Chinese Restaurant to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. The food is simply delicious, the service is always excellent, and the atmosphere is perfect for any occasion. Don't miss out on the sesame chicken and hot and sour soup, they are...
Read moreEdited for our experience last week: Food is normally good, but this time we ordered Grubhub to be delivered after my husband arrived at 7.(No contact delivery requested BTW)at 6:05 a guy shows up knocking and ringing OVER and OVER (we have a sign no knock or ring because our dog goes nuts) and lo and behold it's the delivery guy who didn't speak much English but I told him there must have been a mistake we had the order scheduled for 7, he just said they are 15 mins from here and they were just going to leave it.I told him the food would be cold by the time my husband arrived which was WHY we scheduled for 7 NOT ASAP delivery. He called the restaurant and the owner /manager first said they would give a discount on the food (again my husband wasn't home and it would be COLD) but finally said they would redeliver but I didn't trust them at this point to actually make new food and just wanted the order cancelled. They shouldn't list addresses as available for delivery if they don't want to service those. But hey, problem solved I will NOT be ordering there again.. We ordered thru Grubhub and tried this restaurant for the first time this week. We had eggdrop soup, hot and sour soup, happy family, Mongolian beef, crab rangoon and fried rice. It was hot still when it arrived (we are about 15 mins from the restaurant) and all had great flavor. The man who delivered was very nice. We will definitely be...
