I went today with my family for the Saturday buffet, we made a reservation at 2 pm, which was the time that their Instagram said it started. We got to the restaurant and a guy explained that they changed the social media company and the new company made a mistake but they were going to “open the buffet for us”
They brought a few plates and when we asked for the Kofta and the Kibbeh they told us they hey weren’t on the buffet menu which were on the “buffet video” and they were going to give us 3 kibbeh, we were 6 people on the table I was amazed on the rudeness of the lady that told me that since we accepted to stay even when we were paying for the buffet and not getting what we were paying for. So he “juicy kofta” is the first plate they advertised on the buffet menu but they refused and said that video (even when it was the promo for the Saturday buffet) wasn’t for that buffet.
The chicken and rice were great, the salad was good, the meat was ok, but I have never seen a grosser pasta (which don’t understand which part of the Mediterranean culture it is part of) IMPORTANT: We didn’t order they brought the “buffet menu”
The worst part they let people smoke cigarettes inside the restaurant, I understand the hookah bit cigarettes??? That’s a NO NO, I am pretty sure that must be...
Read moreTwo days ago my husband and I wanted to check out a Mediterranean place on Mason Road. We ended up at Karam Grill and bakery not sure what to expect, since this was our first time. The food was delicious with fresh ingredients. We had the Sesame Pita Bread, Baba ghanoush was delicious and flavorful, the eggplant had a smoky flavor, instantly knew that it was cooked directly over charcoal (the Chef confirmed that) which enhanced the taste of the eggplant. There was a liberal fresh olive oil topping on the dip. The dip came with 3 pita breads. The pita bread was hot out of the oven, fluffy and tasty. For a vegetarian like me, it was good to see the vegetarian options in the menu. The falafel sandwich on pita was fresh and the the falafel was crispy and delicious , We brought the sandwich home and ended up finishing the next day for dinner and it remained fresh, even after warming in the microwave. The staff was courteous, friendly, pleasant and attentive. The chef stopped by and explained how she made the baba ghanoush. The Owner came by to check on the service and food. He was very friendly and chatted with us about the buffet they were planning to add one day a week. I will highly recommend this place. Speaking for Vegetarians, certainly there are...
Read moreEdit: have karam one more try in the store, I'll have to say that all was fresh and delicious this time. So I upped the stars for food and service this time, but not consistency.
First time we picked up and when we came home half of it missing and we had to go back, but the food was fresh and pretty good . We have it another try today and I'm very disappointed, a family of 4, paid $95 for iftaar you expect satisfaction. It all looked like leftovers! I actually want my money back! The salad was limp and soggy, the beef shawerma was a more like fajitas, I think they ran out of the right kind of meat? The chicken shawerma plate was mediocre. The little condiments with cucumber yogurt and tehini tasted sour bad. The only thing that was fresh was the bread. I've been cooking Mediterranean food for my family for decades, I can tell when foods is made with care/ fresh or not. Is the owner out...
