Island Craves — Restaurant in Kauai

I had a half hour break before I had to get back to the job site, and I was driving by and thought I'd go check them out for the very first time. I went there for the pizza slices they have painted on the wall, but once I got in there the pizzas looked totally disgusting, as though they had been sitting there since early morning, untouched, glazed over with hardened melted cheese. So I thought I'd try a cheeseburger and fries instead. There was literally nobody in there, maybe three people came in while I waited and got simple orders. 10 minutes passed, 25 minutes passed, so I went to the counter and asked, is my burger still coming? The service rep went back into the kitchen for about 3 minutes while I waited at the counter, and finally came out and said they're still cooking the french fries. I went and sat down for another 5 minutes, still nothing, no acknowledgment that I had been waiting for half an hour for a cheeseburger and fries. I finally went up to the counter because my lunch break was over and I said, make that order to go now, I don't have any more time to wait... Another 3 minutes goes by and they finally bring out my order. The only thing they had to cook since I came in over half an hour earlier. If I had gone to Bubba's like I intended to, I could have ordered five double cheeseburgers and fries, been served, eaten, and out the door in 20 minutes. Instead I wasted my entire half hour break waiting for a cheeseburger and had to choke it down on the way back to work while driving. We came in a automatically one of the girls automatically gave us attitude about wanting a box or bag for donuts when we were clearly trying to figure it out in a group of nine. We then had to wait over an hour and a half for our food when the place was empty and they only had one online order. These ladies came in after us and still got their food right away and before us ordering similar things to us. They ordered a burger and so had we which makes no sense as to why we got ours after. Also the online order was a pizza and we ordered one too so it shouldn't have taken long after that. Never have we had to wait this long for our food at any place. The girls in the front were just talking and not even working to check on the order until we finally asked about the wait and they said it would be a few more minutes which ended up being more than just a few minutes. The first time we went quickly and had okay service and the girl was a different one then the ones there today but to come back and dine in to get the whole experience and have this happen is not professional or okay at all. The food wasn't that food either and not what we had ordered but we didn't want to wait another hour and a half to get a burger. We will not be returning and hope they work on their service...

We stopped into Island Craves with starving children after a Long Beach Day, and we weren’t prepared for how amazing they were. These donuts are the BEST donuts I’ve ever had. We’ve been all over the country and have had donuts in every state, and these are by far the best. They’re perfectly fluffy, and just the right amount of sweetness. We came on a Friday and I tried the passion-fruit donut, and I dreamed of it for days! The vibes in the restaurant are colorful, relaxing and refreshing. Definitely a kid-friendly place! The staff are absolutely spectacular, especially Fale. We had the pleasure of having her both days we visited. She was kind, knowledgeable and quick to help. The food was fulfilling, delicious and just the right amount. We tried the chicken strips, breakfast sandwich, burgers, their boba, curly fries, tater-tots and every single item was on point! The mozzarella sticks were a huge hit. If I could give them a 10 star I would....
