Nawiliwili Bar & Lounge — Restaurant in Kauai

I was eager to like this place since the old Kalapaki beach hut closed down, leaving me with limited burger options. The food was decent, but the extra patty for $5 is a must. A single patty is paper thin, while the bun is much larger.

On a positive note, they have an impressive selection of whiskeys and tequilas, which might be the only reason I’d return.

However, be warned! The woman bartender with short hair adds a 20% automatic gratuity to every takeout order. When I called to place an order over the phone, I was informed that they didn’t have any fries or tots because they were cleaning the oil. They offered a 20% discount, which I was happy with.

But here’s the catch: when I paid, I was handed an iPad and asked to leave another 20% tip. I didn’t realize I had already paid one with the automatic gratuity. It’s like...

Im 4 months late Sorry. Btw November is still nice to go to Kawaii.We were there the week it Re-opened to do Karaoke. It was Very WELCOMING unlike the other karaoke dive in Bars in the area were we felt mugged n not welcomed by the Locals,so we had to get out. We met Jason,what a great person n Awesome convo, he said he had family in the Bay Area. Besides that drunk girl Hogging the mic n making up names under her so she can go again,Jason did corrected her (well it was Empty with singers for an hour lol) We enjoyed the lights,Atmosphere, Location,cool security the Bartenders were nice. Next time we come to Kawaii, this is the real deal actual#1 Karaoke spot we will go to, they had all the Music and ppl were cheering you On. Thanks again...

Stopped by on Halloween and decided to continue the party on November 1st. Great evening celebrating Halloween with live music and even livelier people, but had an even better afternoon the next day enjoying smash burgers and drinks with Tony. All of the staff is amazing, thanks for the hospitality. We’ll be back when we’re lucky enough to visit the island again!
