We were told the shrimp is farmed right offshore and thus very fresh. Perhaps so, but it didn't really taste any more fresh to me. In fact, I'd say mine was just a bit overcooked. Order at the counter and then they call your name. If someone does not like shrimp or can't eat shellfish, there are no other options on the menu, so keep that in mind. This place was absolutely packed at lunch time but they were doing their best to keep up. I had the sweet chile garlic shrimp. The shrimp were very large and it was a fairly big serving size. So value wise, I would say it is comparable to other places. Because the shrimp are served whole with heads on, it was incredibly messy to try to take the shells off with all of the sauce. The sauce was tasty, but it was really just quite a mess to try to eat it that way. I guess I would try the fried shrimp next time.

Had to update my review. We tried the garlic shrimp too and it was overcooked and rubbery. So messy to try to eat. You have to remove the head and take the shell off…which is fine…but it means that it looks like you get a lot…but not a ton. The garlic butter sauce was okay flavor…but for being a shrimp place…you gotta get that meat cooked right. Price is too high if it’s going to be sub par. Coconut Shrimp: Breading cooked nicely, but the shrimp was overcooked…but definitely in need of salt. And I try to go light on salt. Same with the fries. The dipping sauce for the shrimp was interesting, more like a spread, not a sauce. Not bad, but couldn’t decide if ketchup or the dip was better. Their garlic shrimp did look really delicious. The shrimp were good sized too.

There's plenty of seating and parking around the area which makes this a good spot for groups. We got their shrimp tacos, shrimp burger, and coconut shrimp, as well as onion rings and a small shrimp cocktail. It was all fresh and delicious! And reasonably priced compared to many other places you might find on Kauai. The taco was very wet but very filling, quite tasty. The shrimp burger was actually shrimp formed into a patty and made to look like a normal burger, which was super delicious! This was my favorite of the things we got. And the coconut shrimp was perfectly cooked and not too sweet! There are a lot of chickens and possibly bugs around so just stay mindful. Thankfully the seated area was shaded so we didn't have to eat in the sun.

Let me just start by saying this place made my trip, food wise. INCREDIBLE food, the Cajun shrimp was immaculate….service was top notch. It is soooooo worth it, we were at the point of almost licking the paper plate on the first round and we ended up coming back because I was demanding more Shrimp Station. Short story long I pretty much had heat stroke for the first part of my trip and couldn’t eat anything but my husband wanted to go and despite my deathly vibes we went and I tell you THIS PLACE SAVED MY WHOLE TRIP. It was the only thing that I could eat and it brought me back from the brink of my own poor choice in roasting in the Hawaiian sun. If you love shramp, if you love a local vibe with great service (it was less than 5 mins to get our delicious food and they were busy to boot) GOOOOOOO HERE!

Signed your biggest fan...

Ate here yesterday and ordered the cajun shrimp. It came out with shells and legs still on the shrimp. After pealing I found feces in more than 1/2. Couldn’t finish them. Asked if they devain the shrimp before serving and was told that’s the way they get it. After informing about the feces, I was just told ā€œsorry it just happens sometime because it is delivered that way.ā€ And was offered a free order of fries. I said no and he just shrugged his shoulders. If you knew this ahead of time, clean your shrimp before serving and don’t act like it’s normal and I should be ok with paying for shrimp full of feces and when brought up, make it right by buying that shrimp back off of me that you served that wasn’t edible. Do not eat here. I didn’t make a stink being in Hawaii and all but I will still leave...
