FIRST STOP and LAST STOP before leaving the island!!
During my Hawaiian island-hopping adventure, I had the pleasure of dining at Tony's Catch in Kauai, let me just tell you WOW from the fish and chips to the poke this place just blew my mind I ate here at least 3-4 times my whole trip!
Tony's Catch is not just a food truck; it's a destination for anyone who appreciates exceptionally prepared food. The poke and fish and chips I had there were, without exaggeration, out of this world. The freshness of the ingredients, combined with the skillful preparation, elevated these dishes to a level I never knew was possible. The poke was a harmonious blend of flavors that danced on my palate, setting a new benchmark for how this dish should taste. I can’t ever eat poke anywhere else without even thinking about Tony’s poke!
As for the fish and chips, they were so crispy and fresh exactly what fish and chips should taste like honestly probably one of the best fish and chips I ever had as well my wife couldn’t stop talking about them! The tartar sauce was just melt in your mouth and we will dream about this place forever.
Not only is the food exceptional the service is so good Ceaser is so friendly and caters to you he comes and checks in on you which is brings the level of service and food to a high standard for me. The view here is also incredible! Tony's Catch has spoiled me for life, and I am not complaining! If you find yourself in Kauai, do not miss the chance to dine at this gem of a restaurant. Thank you, Tony's Catch, for an unforgettable...
Read moreI can’t say enough about how good the food was…4 of us ordered food and it was all so tasty. I had the tostadas with Mahi instead of Ahi…the tostadas were crunchy and didn’t fall apart. The fish was seasoned well, black beans were great and the jalapeño cream sauce was incredible without setting my mouth on fire. I also ate some of my wife’s fish n’ chips…very good as well.
There are multiple food / shopping trucks in the lot and there was room for parking at lunch time on a Wednesday.
The sitting area had clean wooden picnic tables with umbrellas for sun cover.
We didn’t meet Tony (owner/amazing chef), but his cousin provided excellent service. He came out to check on us several times, proactively providing extra napkins, taking our plates and such when finished, etc.
Don’t miss this if you are hungry and close to...
Read moreMy wife is more into these food truck type places than I am, though this experience may be changing my perspective. The food was the kind of good that makes you want to go back before your trip is over. My wife got the fish tacos, and I got the carne asada burrito. I will speak on the burrito... It was IT! Coming from San Diego where my standards of burritos is a borderline pretentious, I wish Tony's Catch operated back home as well. To top off the amazing food, his attentiveness to the guests needs while they were eating was amazing. He made his rounds checking up on guests, bringing them napkins, additional sauces, I am sure he would have even brought another drink to the table if it was needed. Thank you so much for doing what you do, and we will be back! We will also be telling our family to check you out...
