Brazilian Spices — Restaurant in Kearny

Went there for lunch with some of my family members, we were sat at our table and waited about 15 minutes before anyone came over to ask us anything, I informed them we were waiting on two more people to show up, which they did about 5 minutes later, fast forward another 15 minutes until anyone came around again, we finally order and wait and wait and wait and wait until finally we ask how much longer and we were told it would be another 10 minutes, which was really 20. We had to tell the waitress to bring bread out again while we wait which she did begrudgingly, the time we were told elapsed and then some so we all get up to leave and I ask what I owe for drinks and see who I presume to be the owner observing the interaction, only after seeing I had received my change does he come over and tell me it would be ready in 2 minutes, I let him know we had waited over an hour to which he responded it's busy. I turned and looked and asked busy where? There were two other tables seated and the rest of the place was empty. I saw plenty of people come in after us and get their food and just while we were waiting to have someone come ask us for our drinks. I don't have to work in food service to know that you forgot to make our order and were now struggling to make up for lost time. I've often wondered when people say if I could give it ZERO stars I would how bad a place can be, this is exactly why. Horrible customer service and no accountability when confronted with the fact that their service is atrocious. Plenty of better restaurants nearby that make better food with...

This was my first time here. A friend recommended I try it since I've never been to a Brazilian rodizio. I didnt really know what to expect other than an all u can eat experience.

The place was small and comfortable. They had a counter where u could sit and eat which made me think they had a bar here. They dont. The service was cordial but the food did take a bit longer than I was comfortable with to be honest. I was hungry though. Once the food came the pace was fine though. I had the regular rodizio on a Sunday which was like 33 bucks. I had it with white rice, black beans vegetables and French fries. Lol yeah sounds crazy I know but it all went well together actually.

I wanted my meats medium well I told them. All of it wasnt medium well. I know the skirt steak wasnt. Skirt steak is actually one of my favorites too, but it was over cooked here, I didnt care much for it. The top sirloin was great as was the chicken and bacon. I believe there was some beef ribs in there as well. That was good. A tad bit over salted though. They grill with tons of salt here. I actually got full alot quicker than I expected lol. My plan was to go to town but food definitely defeated man today. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. That was the point. I definitely think it was worth the money. I usually eat about the same for the same price at Spanish spots around my way with combination platters. The overall experience at a rodizio is better though imo. Good evening community I would like to let you know that I am here to say that Brazilian Spice from Kearny have unprofessional workers. To begin with the first time I order a chicken Cesar salad they told us that the Cesar dressing was $1.50. To go on with this one star I gave them a chance to see if they would better them selves and yet they weren’t capable of doing that. For the second time me and my family had order a pizza and they had took 2-3 hours to deliver the food and the pizza had then came cold to go on top of all the waiting. I’m also not even a few blocks away from there restaurant. As you guys are enjoying to read my complains I could continue. The third time I had order when the food had arrived and my family was ready to eat we had then realized that one of the meats that they had sent us was rotten and we had to throw it all out. Last but not least I recently just ordered food for the last time from them because my husband accidentally called them making a order not knowing that I had already order and the lady on the phone started laughing at everything my husband was saying. He then asked her if he was a clown for her to be laughing at everything he was saying and she said “no something funny just happened.” When my husband went to call and cancel the order she was still laughing at everything he was saying.
