Big Nicks Pizza — Restaurant in Kearny

The only pizza place around that does Italian hot dogs on pizza bread. That being said, today's Italian hot dog was on bread that was shaped like pizza bread but it wasn't pizza bread. To be fair, the guy told me the pizza bread wasn't the same as it had been in the past. Unfortunately, I will not be buying Italian hot dogs here anymore. I guess I'm going to have to take the trip to Dickie Dee's from now on. I will still use big Nick's for other food because I've never had an issue before today. The owner harassed us upon walking into restaurant with our Service Animal. Despite sharing our registered service animal ID Card, he demanded to know what medical conditions my wife has. He expected us to divulge medical conditions despite our having shown proof of a US Registered Service Animal. He was rude and clearly ignorant. We have registered a complaint with the ADA and will be taking then to court. Clearly negative bias exists which poisons patron experience. I would avoid this dumpy looking pizzeria...

HIDDEN GEM I’ve tried nearly all pizza spots in Harrison, Kearny, and Belleville. I recently came across this one with my new walking route and decided to finally try it out after passing by a few times. 10/10 pizza. It’s the best pizza out of all the pizza spots I’ve been to in years. Only other one that I remember loving as a kid was in Newark that’s as good as this one. Crispy yet fluffy. Can’t explain it.
