Hello my Foodies! So I was on another adventure with my friends to find great food and we found this Columbian place. It's a very small place so don't go with a big crowd. 4 people at the most. Although it's small, these are the places that usually have the best flavor! The portions were pretty big and the price was average. I had the skirt steak with sautéed onions and peppers, in a delicious red sauce. It came with beans and rice, of course. I ordered the chicharones on the side as well. They were good. I loved the whole meal it was an explosion of flavor, and I need to go back and try another dish. My friends had no complaints and left with full bellies and a smile on their faces. I gave it 4 stars only because I had also ordered empanadas, but my waitress forgot to bring them. But I will get them next time. The waitress was still pretty good and let me know that I could get 2 sides with my meal so I wouldn't have to pay extra for adding rice and beans. If you are in Kearny, I recommend this...
Read moreI used to go to this restaurant every weekend. The last staff was so friendly; always expedited my son’s food because they could see his condition. Today after a while I went to Cumbia Café with my special needs child. The waitress was so rude and insensitive. The worst experience in a restaurant. I asked to expedite his food because he can’t wait and he was very hungry. I was told by her she can’t do nothing because the people in the kitchen do whatever they want. She was speaking very loud and rude to me I told her stop, she was continuing talking very loud like crazy, my son’s could has seizures for this stressful situation. I ran away from this restaurant. This woman should be not working with people. She has non common sense! She put my child in risk to has seizures for her performance. She was acting like she was on the street , not like a waitress in a...
Read moreUnfortunately I was very dissapointed by the food here. The woman who served us was very nice. However, the food was dry AF. I ordered an egg , ham, and colombian cheese sandwich and grilled chicken sandwich. The eggs were too salty, the bread was hard, and fries were flavorless. The grilled chicken was also lacked flavor. Blah. The two sandwiches and an arepa de choclo came out to about $15.00 which isnt expensive but felt like a waste of money because it was so bland. Cheapy choppy style. At least serve some water to the patrons who stay there to eat. Not even...
