I’ve eaten here a few times over the years. Those few times, it’s been a good spot for breakfast for my wife and I when we are in the area. I ordered the veggie omelette, wife ordered the avocado toast. The meal took about 40 minutes to prepare, even with only 2 other customers in the restaurant, which seemed odd. The avocado toast turned out okay, however the omelette was very disappointing. The omelette wasn’t an omelette at all. It was essentially an over cooked 5 or 6 egg patty placed over a small amount of cooked veggies. The veggies weren’t cooked in with the eggs, so I just had a pile of veggies and I ended up having to scramble the egg patty with my fork. Additionally, there is no cheese in the veggie omelette, the menu doesn’t mention cheese, so that’s my bad for not asking. That said, I think it’s worthy information to know as there was literally nothing to bind the food together.
I ended up eating the meal anyways as I was hungry and we had been waiting a while. I don’t like complaining, but I did end up letting the waiter know afterward that the veggie omelette was disappointing with a similar description of this review. I was not offered anything other than “Sorry, next time will be better.”
I don’t leave negative reviews often. I am posting this hoping that whoever is running this restaurant receives this feedback. I just hope nobody has to pay almost $20 for that item on...
Read moreUpon arriving, this place is a cute little house turned restaurant/ bakery. We were quickly seated at a table, unfortunately the table was crawling with ants. They seemed very embarrassed and quickly wiped the table down and had us sit there. The area the ants were crawling up onto the table was still packed with ants, since that area had not been wiped down, and when we mentioned it to them they moved us to another section of the restaurant. In that new seating area, it was cleaner but there were still a few ants. They mentioned they never had an ant problem before, therefore, we wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt so we stayed and ordered. The menu was good with a lot of options to choose from: omelettes, pancakes, burgers, to mention some. We ordered some omelettes and pancakes, which took a long time to arrive to us. The flavor was good, nothing amazing with good sized portions. The coffee was good but I didn't get offered a refill or a warm up until we were getting ready to leave, which by then I really didn't need it. The waitresses were really nice and the desserts they have at the counter looked amazing, but it's not a place I would come back to visit. Their prices were on the higher end, I could go to WOM (Word of Mouth) and pay less and get twice the amount of food that tastes amaaaaaaazing! The only downside to WOM is...
Read moreThe food is great! The service is seriously lacking, though. Our most recent visit was pretty disappointing. The waitress sat us down, gave us menus and then that was it for the next 10-15 minutes. She came back over after a bit and said "I don't know where the other one went so I might as well take your order." I should add that I observed three women working. One younger woman behind the register, occasionally clearing tables, and one other waitress but it appeared that she had maybe one table, two at most. It wasn't that busy. We had to ask for refills and so did other customers sitting around us. At different points during our visit, I could hear the three women behind the register counter talking, not in any hurry to check on anyone. While we were there, there were maybe five tables with humans at it. Six at most but that's pushing it. I just found it pretty interesting how long it took to get even a drink order in let alone any refills. I sat with an empty cup for the majority of the time it took to eat my breakfast. Then I got up to go refill it myself and that's when I was stopped and the younger woman offered to fill it for me. The food is good, as I said in the beginning but I just don't know that I'll be in a...
