June 22 POOR!!! Price per dish increased excessively! Food was hot but service lackluster. Staff almost appeared to be afraid to talk. They're normally outgoing & super friendly, not today. You can't select amount of sides you want. All previously avaliable sides, condiments, sauces are now blocked from public & require employees to scoop up pre measured amount & that's what you get. (I understand virus protection procedures but...) Asked Owner/Manager for pickles he selected the 5 slices he wanted me to have. All the while he was busily removing all but one of the tongs in the various relish dishes. Now one tong was used to get jalapeños, pickels, onions, etc. All the while he was lecturing the female who was the duty manager about the "Staff Meeting when we talked about removing the tongs." She apologized, said she had a hard time remembering, not usual procedure. Never seen a manager doing paperwork in public here before, after "fixing" the condiment area he sat at a corner table with his computer and stacks of papers. Only 5-7 people in restaurant when we arrived, never got over 8 even though it was 12:00, normally packed. Staff all wore masks but weren't as friendly as in past. The Mexican Inn next door had 5 times the cars in the parking lot. In my opinion this Spring Creek isn't producing a quality dining experience & may be on the verge of closing. A meal that used to cost around $12 is now $18. Really liked it pre-virus, not so much now. Since it's a chain I'll try another one to see if they're the same but not much positive...
Read moreI only gave one star, because Google won't let you do zero. This has been, by far, the worst dining experience I've had. The cashier was relatively pleasant, but the other servers or whatever they are hired as, left much to be desired. When we sat down we began to eat and my sausage had a sour taste to it like it was just starting to go bad. The ribs my husband had were fatty and tasteless. The coleslaw my daughter had was awful. To add insult to injury, not one time did anyone come to see if we wanted refills or napkins or...anything. One of the girls came by and asked if we wanted ice cream like she would rather be anywhere else but there. After we got the ice cream I asked if I could order a dish of peach cobbler for my daughter. The young lady told me, "you have to pay for that." I was so shocked, I wasn't quite sure how to respond other than to say that wasn't a problem. I went to pay for the cobbler and she rudely told me I would have to pay at the other register. I walked over to the other register and the girls were giggling and talking as though there were no customers to serve. One had her back to me when I came up and didn't bother to turn around when I stated what I was there to do. In short, I spent almost $50 for a meal I had to keep getting up from, that wasn't great tasting and service that was beyond terrible. Steer clear of this location; the one in Arlington is much better. I...
Read moreAnother Keller restaurant not worth going to. Although my prior dining experience there had been good, this one was awful.
We arrived at 7:12 PM on a Monday night. The cafeteria style line was all the way to the door as this was a school spirit night. By the time we got to the point where they take your order, I had been standing in line for 35 minutes, I was no longer hungry. There were no meal options for my son who doesn't eat meat save for an overpriced baked potato or way overpriced sides. My other son ordered the child's rib plate. Utensils were not available as they "ran out." We reached the cashier at 7:53 PM. Eventually, after we sat and waited 5 minutes for his lukewarm food to cool, I finally found someone who worked there who had access to forks.
He received 4 ribs, 2 sides, and a child's drink for the bargain price of $7.20 including tax. The ribs were like beef jerky - very dry and chewy. He even tried biting the meat off the bone with his back teeth, but eventually gave up trying to eat them. I have to wonder if the process of grilling the ribs to warm them was a bit too aggressive. His side of macaroni and cheese was not quite as good as Kraft deluxe and the corn on the cob was cooked appropriately for edentulous nursing home residents.
We went home to eat leftovers. I would recommend not wasting...
