While the food is decent (albeit overpriced), the environment created by ownership behind the scenes is nothing short of toxic. They hire high schoolers for their entry level positions and then refuse to let them work the positions they were hired for and pay them less than they were originally promised. They give no training whatsoever for new employees. My son begged them to give him advice/tips yet the owner refused. If they’re not willing to train and be civil to their staff then they shouldn’t be allowed to run a business. Ownership needs to learn that happy staff is just as important as happy customers if they want to build a business that stands the test of time. There are several other good restaurants in Keller who will be getting our sushi business from now on. I cannot in good conscience recommend this restaurant.
Edited to add: the below response from Hush is shocking - flat out lies. My son never once got to work in the position for which he was hired. There was ZERO training beyond shadowing another employee who left shortly after my son started. A 3-day “orientation” is a joke - I don’t even know what that means. An orientation was never discussed and certainly not implemented. He was changed from position to position because he was constantly having to fill in for people who had quit and/or didn’t show up, not out of ownership’s desire to help him. If ownership were truly trying to help him they would have responded to his multiple requests for advice/training. Hush can try to spin this so it appears they did nothing wrong, but sadly there is a long line of young people with stories just like ours. This is a small town and ownership has to realize this kind of behavior will eventually catch up to them. And the bottom line is, it’s not good for business! It’s a proven fact that when worker satisfaction is high, so is customer satisfaction, so leaving a trail of disheartened employees in your dust is never going to lead to success.
As for talking about this in person… when it consistently takes 3-4 texts over several days to get a single response from the owner/manager, it’s clear there is no desire for communication. That...

The place is huge and as you work your way through you see something unexpected...a CRAZY good extensive spirit collection. I was particularly impressed with both the whisky (Japanese and American) AND a SOLID Tequila collection featuring plenty of amazing additive free choices!!! Bravo on this (still shocked how hard it is to find good tequila in the burbs of the metroplex). Cocktails were interesting and incentive and had something for everyone. Not a wine drinker, but our server, David (who was fantastic) also mentioned they were actively building their wine collection as well.
Food was great. Lots to choose from and again something for everyone. Interesting maki, great starters including the shishito peppers and Boa Boa. Shout out to the Yuzu Caprese as well... unexpected, well seasoned and the Yuzu balsamic was quite nice. They also call out rolls in the menu that include cheese which I LOVED, since I despise cream cheese in my rolls. 😁
They offer several seasonal nigiri selections and several Omakase menus...we went with a couple of rolls, the Yuzu Hamachi (my go to but first time as a roll and it worked), the Spicy Girl, could use a little more spice, but fresh and tasty and the rolls were plentiful. The Crispy Rice Tuna was good, also pretty mild on the spice. The Blufin O toro was nice, but would gor for sashimi next time over the nigiri (rice was not well pressed).
We ended with the Donuts...which came with the creamiest house made ice cream and Ube whipped cream.
What an unexpected find in Keller. Will be in regular rotation...
Read moreVery overpriced for what it is. The California roll has a crab stick. Not real crab. If you ask for real crab they hike the price per roll $18. We went for a birthday and if you buy a bottle of saki they pour it as much as possible to everyone around you trying to get you to buy another bottle, they ran out of rice and acted like “oh well you just have to choose vegetables or French fries”. We waited forever for our food. We had a large party they knew about months in advance but couldn’t get the food out very well. There was at least 30 minutes or more difference in time from people getting their food. Most of us were done eating and others were just getting food. We all love sushi and I don’t usually have issues but this was not as good as HERE in Roanoke. They have some very expensive rolls that we couldn’t stand to eat. Luckily the tempura shrimp appetizer was good. That’s what I ate. The next big issue was that they just tell you how much you owe and you don’t see your check and you don’t realize they charged you 20% and are encouraging you to tip more. We spent a couple thousand dollars there and they made a killing on tipping. They were actually trying to get you to top more. My nieces bill was $240 and they didn’t realize they had already added the tip because she didn’t see the bill and she tipped $100 extra! Our bill was over $250 and we did the same because we didn’t see the bill! My sisters bill was $700 and she tipped another 20%. They will not tell you they already added the 20% and then tried to talk my sister into tipping more. They paid $200 for 2 bottles of saki you can buy at the store for $20. They also bought a round of champagne and it was way over the top. We had 30...
