Denny's — Restaurant in Kelso

This is my favorite Denny's in southern Washington. The food is always great and the waitresses always smiling and happy. I like to get the nachos with fries instead of chips. The hot fries, sorta spicy meat, cold pico de gallo and add on avacado is the bomb. My wife always get a salad. It is always cold crispy lettuce, crispy cucumbers, little tomatoes that pop in your bite and I love the Honey Mustard here. The boneless wings are way better than the chicken strips. They are both good but the wings are way better. They are over the top with the Nashville hot sauce instead of buffalo. The restrooms are always pretty clean and great to drop a load. We will definitely be back after the next time we are in the area. I always have the best time and it is great they are open 24 hours. Most restaurants even fast food are not open 24 anymore. We tried the new Lasagna and it was not only great it was fantastic. It was very hot and we needed to wait a while for it to cool down. The new mac & cheese is out of this world great. It is so creamy and cheesy I will order it every time now. I loved the apple crisp but they have a Coconut cream pie that is really good. It tastes like they used to have at Marie Callenders back in the day. The bathrooms are always nice and clean and smell good. My wife is lactose intolerant but she eats alot of cheese anyway. As soon as I finish my yummy great tasting meal, she makes a beeline for the bathroom. THats why it is important to have clean fresh smelling bathrooms. Plus if the bathroom is clean then the kitchen is probably clean as well. We will definately be back to this Denny's whenever we come up to the outlets in South Center. This was by far the most disappointing Dennys I've ever been to!! My husband and I ordered the T-bone steak dinner ($17.59/meal) we ordered it medium rare and when we got it the entire steak was so well done and the thinnest t-bone steak I've seen in a long time it was absolutely repulsive the waitress asked how everything was and I told her in the kindest way that it was a little well done she then proceeds to tell me a story about how they just switched to a new ordering system and starts saying something about an order ticket that is too small or something.. I'm not even sure what she was trying to say but regardless with as much as we were paying for our dinner she could've offered a discount/remake/or SOMETHING anything but no instead I just got a pathetic excuse.. also when we first arrived my 5 yr old daughter needed to use the restroom so we both went in and as usual washed our hands and there was no paper towels to dry with and no other way to dry so when I left the restroom and seen a waitress I kindly mentioned that there were no paper towels, well about 35-40 mins later my 7 yr old son said he needed to pee so I took him to the womens bathroom and still no paper towels so once again I mentioned it to another waitress on the way out but I doubt they actually found any importance in doing this so it probably got overlooked again.. and the thing about this is it wasn't even busy around the time we were there but yeah anyways we will not be returning to this restaurant at this location, ever again!! Today’s experience at Dennys was terrible. Almost every time my family of 4 come to Dennys they try to sit us directly next to other customers. I personally do not enjoy being able to hear other’s conversations that are above my own. Not only did I have to ask for a booth away from other people the server was not the best. Tho they were kind and friendly their service was bad. They checked on us once and awkwardly walked away once they were told that we were not satisfied with most of our meals. The order included the Zesty Nacho plate, the Chicken Tender meal with 2 sides of Mac n cheese and dinner bread, 2 kids meals of chicken tenders with a side of pancakes and bacon. The issues; the nachos had grease slop and barely any meat, all of the chicken tenders were over cooked and tasted burnt, the ‘dinner bread’ was a bottom of a hotdog bun. The server also never checked on our drinks. All drinks were empty before the end of our meal and not once were we asked for refills. There was no discount, no apologies for the bad food, no offer to fix the meals. We had only 4 interactions with our server. Drinks, food, complaints, bill. We were nice and friendly to them but clearly they’re not fully capable of this service.
